Symbolically, this can mean that money is the most important in your life, more important than love, family, friends etc.
But, can anyone really be happy with such a life, or have a fulfilled life?

Maybe it is more about how you get money rather than if you have it. I would say that someone who works very hard for their money is having a good life because of their accomplishments to gain the money. Money is just a tool to transfer accomplishments.
