Would Bitcoin be the same if Satoshi wasn't anonymous?

An anonymous "founder" worked great with decentralized currency. Had the community had a known figurehead he would have been a target for many defamation attacks.

Just look at all the pundits were saying against bitcoins. It would have been worse against Satoshi.

surely he has a strong reason why he is hiding his true identity, but I am sure if it is opened to the public, then the bitcoin situation will probably get better, because bitcoin is indeed being told by real humans and not only currency created by imaginary humans.

Yes I believe his identity will do more good for the crypto community and Bitcoin. Although people are used to his anonymity and also Bitcoin has seen some high price movement even without his presence known . So bitcoin is cool without him and everyone is cool without him. But his presence would have done a lot than the usual that is happening

I think we 'll reach mass adoption much faster in my opinion. Because if you noticed, some group of fighting each other that bitcoin should be like or bitcoin should be like that and thus making many forks. If Satoshi was here, there is going to be only one btc. And I bet Satoshi will have the same status as what Zuckerburg has.

Bitcoin could have not remain the same if santoshi not anonymous, because hard it been that everyone know santoshi and he is directly involved in the running of bitcoin the decentralized nature of bitcoin today could have not been the same and bitcoin could have been the same as all the other centralized cryptocurrency in the market today.

I don't think that Satoshi's identity affects the growth of bitcoin if the identity of him will be revealed as stated in the OP. I believe that we care more in the product of the person

Satoshi anonymous that's why bitcoin anonymous coin and it has value. People's is too much interested about bitcoin, who create it, why created it, how created it and so on. If satoshi wasn't anonymous then bitcoin would not be Decentralized currency. People's would only depend on satoshi like others coin. But I believe satoshi is genius and that's why he had hide himself. In a result bitcoin become more popular due to anonymity.

That depends on the identity of Satoshi. In case Satoshi is some internationally acclaimed mathematician or economist, then Bitcoin would be in a better state. On the other hand, if he is some controversial figure then it would just give more ammunition to the BTC haters.

The anonymity of Satoshi added more respect and dignity to Bitcoin, had his identity been revealed Bitcoin would have been killed by political sentiment and tribalism and Bitcoin would have been seeing as one man ideology and property, and who knows if government would have arrested and force him to destroy the platform. we are better with anonymity of Satoshi

If Satoshi wasn't anonymous, Bitcoin will still be same but the only thing that will change is people worrying him/her to make an upgrade on the Bitcoin Blockchain network to help increase the speed at which transactions are confirmed. But I don't think knowing the identity of Satoshi is really necessary or needed.

i dont think bitcoin will be the same  . if satoshi reavell himself before i think bitcoin wont be really anonymous just like we are seeing today  . and also , i think that bitcoin will become more popular because satoshi himself will be the one to promote it on the national televsion and other public sources  .

its important because satoshi is not just a normal person , we must find him so that we can  thank him and we can honored him for his great inventions   . and like what you said earlier  . people will request for some adjustments onto bitcoin  such as more speed and lesser fees .  not really sure tho if satoshi n. is only the man that can do it  .

I think bitcoin would still be doing fine if Satoshi was public.  Ethereum is still doing great as the 2nd place crypto.  Vitalik is a great head figure for ETH and he helps give confidence to new investors.  Its almost more of a problem he is anonymous because you never know if he will spend the 1 million bitcoins he mined someday.

If Satoshi's true identity was revealed, he/she/they would have been very much popular by now. The most important aspect is that Bitcoin would have gained additional attention as Satoshi will be available to answer most of the questions surrounding this unique yet complex technology.

I don't think that there would have been no different if  Satoshi had added his or her identity to the whitepaper of Bitcoin, but I believe Satoshi  wanted the world to accept the ideology behind the development and purpose of Blockchain and Bitcoin not the individual behind the creation. Also Satoshi being anonymous was the basic principle to confirm how users can be anonymous using this product. 

I never thought about it before, but I am sure that Bitcoin would be the same and have also the greatest popularity if Satoshi Nakamoto would not be an anonymous person. This crypto is great.

Can you give some supporting facts there? I mean Satoshi Nakamoto did a great job concealing himself on the internet since we all know how great the price of Bitcoin changed in the years. As other people said, it will be bad for Satoshi to be known not only because they will be harassing them but also there will be a government problem that might lead to a centralized cryptocurrency.

Whether Satoshi reveals his/her/their true identity or not, what is important right now is we are using Bitcoin that Satoshi invented and it will be use to change the future .

It would give them grounds to attack Satoshi as a person and every action done by him would influence the price.
Say, you knew who he was and had limitless resources (like a government). You could set him up and make a pedophile or a drug addict out of him. You could make him fall in love with an agent who would report on his activities, or gather dirt. With enough of this dirt you could pass it on to the media and crash the markets. It's better for him to stay anonymous.

I agree that he should remain anonymous, we all know that any creation and invention the creator or inventor are treated like a celebrity and looked up, so any action of Satoshi will only harm the price of Bitcoin and he will be attacked continuously by banks and government.

Very valid point. This was the excuse given by Craig Steven Wright, after he backed out from proving that he was the real Satoshi. Can't blame him, as he was 100% right. If someone is identified as the real Satoshi, then the FBI and other agencies will charge that individual with thousands of crimes. Most probably, he will meet the same fate as that of Ross Ulbricht.

To decentralize cryptocurrency will be better if Satoshi Nakamoto remains anonymous. Otherwise, there is a threat to make it private property. In my opinion, to remain anonymous was a good decision. Moreover, he apparently did not know how they would react to his invention in the future, and therefore he made such a decision. Now it is almost impossible for him to appear.
