as we know now Ripple has taken the position of Ethereum (ranked 2 in the coinmarketcap), and will this change everything in the future? My point is that Ripple replaces Ethereum whether there will be major changes in the future, such as whether all ICOs will use Ripple as a payment from their ICO to replace payments using Ethereum and all exchanges will use Ripple (XRP) as a payment to buy or sell altcoins on the exchange.

CZ stated that theres a possibility that there will be an XRP trading pairs in the future. But I doubt it that majority of exchanges are going to follow that idea.

If ICOs are still going to exist, its either bitcoin or eth would still be their most preferred payment for investing to their projects. Who knows in the future what changes we will see?

Surprisingly XRP got the 2nd spot again but in my own perception it will not last for long. Well, chances of getting xrp as a payment method would be possible as of now but yes we will never know what will happen next as this dump is unexpected as well.

nothing will happen and rank 2 does not mean changing everything and all ICO will switch to Ripple. not as easy as you might think and I'm sure no developer is interested in building its ICO on a Ripple platform.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ripple overtakes BTC within the next few years.  Bitcoin is suffering from infighting, forks, ledger filesize issues, etc.  Ripple has no such issues, and continues to achieve increasing levels of enterprise adoption.  They just signed up a network of banks in the AP region this last week, for example.

XRP and ETH are two different things. ETH is popular because it is used as a means of making new tokens through their smart contracts, while XRP can be used as an exchanger.
Of course each has a different portion and will be able to be used in the future.

We need a big bullish to make it happen. Remember there was a lot of icos are holding their ethereum on the wallet and then more and more ethereum has already generated by miners. This should be the main concern before we can try to decide what will be happening with it in the future dude.

I personally do not like Ripple but this is crypto, anything could happen. Developers/Founders or Exchange Owners might consider this sooner if they see a continues growth in XRP. Although I ma not sure if the current CMC rank plays a role in making that decision.

first of all ranking on coinmarketcap.com does not matter at all. only newbies care about it because they don't understand how the market works and have to cling to anything meaningless to justify their actions. and now the market has so few newbies as the dumps have flushed mot of them out.

secondly XRP is also a shitcoin just like ethereum with a huge premine and centralization. they are completely similar when it comes to investment too with the difference that XRP has a much much lower price which makes pumping it a lot easier.

nothing is going to change. they both remain pump and dump shitcoins and will eventually reach bottom and start getting pumped after a while. and then again get dumped. if you want profit then learn how to use the pump and dumps to your own advantage.

in my opinion, the price of the ripple is very stable, that's because the ripple can be in number 2 coinmarketcap right now, many of their investors believe in the ripple

if you look at Ethereum's current state, chances are that in the future Ripple will replace Ehereum. Ripple is also one of the best altcoins because it has a clear concept and large volume. many complain about the current Ethereum system having problems such as long exchanges.
