What is considered to be the best 'bear market' approach as a newbie - Price Action or Fundamental trading?

Most of the fundamentals really are long term traders so when there's a bear market they try to bag some more and enjoy the sale. As they are very sure that it's just a hiccup of the market and they believe that their position will be more valuable than the price of the downtrend.

You should just tried to be expert in interpreting price action in trading and just little knowledge on fundamentals analysis and you are good to go.  I think as a traders you should be able to interpret candlesticks pattern and formations which brings both the technical and fundamentals issues into the current price action.

Best bear market approach for a newbie is to do nothing. Spend this time learning and wait for a strong reversal signal, then buy and hold. If you try trading in a bearish market without knowing what you're doing you'll get rekt. Understand your own capabilities and the current market and stay away.

Still having the bear market right now is an opportunity to be grabbed on since prices are low and chance of price bounce is huge. If you decided to go in here, on this industry you already decided for your money to go uncertain even you buy low there are no exact time to sell it high because of volatility. As a newbie, just try what you think will work based on what you are seeing and know about the market.

You can use that both! Price action can determine using indicators. As of now, there is no surging in bitcoin price. You can see it by using fibonacci lines. Well, you can search how it works. Fundamental analysis is good also! But I do not depend in fundamental because I suspect every news to be a FUD.
