Traditional crowdfunding platforms for some reason have seemed to ignore protecting backers who bring in the $$$ to fund projects. Many backers are increasingly frustrated with the stance these platforms have taken. In a way, this affects creators with experience who are actually capable of finishing a project to not get sufficient funding due to a few bad apples. Pledgecamp is changing this narrative by helping protect backers hard earned $$$ while at the same time motivating creators to follow through on their milestones and successfully complete the project through the use of smart contracts on the blockchain. This is the future!

Kickstarter and Indiegogo, the two most popular crowdfunding platforms do not have a fail safe to protect backers. Essentially, after taking the 5% listing fee, the rest of the $$$ raised is transferred to the creators. From here on out, backers are left high and dry. It is up to the creators of the campaign to do their best to see the project through without any brake checks or supervision. Pledgecamp gives the option for creators to set milestones, locking a certain portion of funds until these goals are achieved and released by the backers. By protecting backers and giving creators financial incentive to deliver on their promises is a win-win.

Pledgecamp is on the Binance Chain and will be listed on the Binance DEX. Dates to come soon from the team. In the most recent AMA by CZ, he announced that tokens that have good volume on the DEX may be listed on Binance.com as well. This might be a great opportunity for Pledgecamp to be listed on #1 crypto exchange in the world. Massive exposure for sure!

As Founder & CEO of Zuckerberg Media and Pledgecamp Advisor Randi Zuckerberg puts it: ”It’s time to make crowdfunding available across the globe, to take the intermediaries out who still get paid even if a project doesn’t happen, and incentivize everyone to be aligned for a vision of entrepreneurship.”
