Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Which one is the best is up to people but another interesting one to mention is Horizen. There are ZenPub (anonymous document publisher) ZenChat (messaging platform), and ZenHide (domain fronting platform) built on (or currently in dev.)  Even if it isn't the best I suppose ETH will be the most popular one

There are actually quite a few Dapps running on the Steem blockchain.
There are some benefits of using Steem though, you have no transaction fees and they're pretty much instant.

The cost is also relatively low these days due to the low price of Steem.

Some examples of existing dapps:

https://steemmonsters.com/# - Trading card game (very popular)
https://musing.io/ - Quora clone, get paid for asking and answering questions (very popular)
https://dgameland.com/ - Game marketplace
https://fundition.io/ - Crowdfunding website
https://www.peerhub.com/ - ecommerce
https://steemnova.intinte.org/ - Ogame type browser game
https://chibera.com/ - MMORPG on the Steem blockchain

More Dapps can be found here: https://steemprojects.com/

What do you guys think?

Depends on the amount of effort you want to put in creating the apps. You can easily bootstrap an application by selecting a language of your choice provided you're proficient in that language. If you really want to know the best blockchain then you should also consider the API that it offers to write the app. Writing apps for ETH on solidity adds an extra curve to learn that language which could be daunting if you're OOPS basics are not clear. If you're a JavaScript guy, you can always use Lisk to start with an application. Overall, it boils down to your skills.

Have seen so many DAPPS in the Ethereum and EOS platforms... This could mean that its easier or cheaper to build dapps on those platforms compared to NEO or MOAC
However we have more Dapp platforms like,

➖Tronix
➖ NEM
➖ QTUM
➖ Cardano
➖ Vechain
➖ Ontology
➖ Zilliqa
➖ Lisk
➖ ICON

Tried to pick ones that have a market cap of atleast over $100M
So try to check them and see... Building a Dapp on any of them could also need a specific type of skill or knowledge.

Nice list.

I've been watching MOAC for some time now. They hosted a webinar and showed how easy it was to launch a dapp on their blockchain. Definitely worth looking into.

Depend what you need to do. I personally just looked into Ethereum smart contracts, is very easy to spin up something that can be easily used through metamask. The main draw back are probably the fees for operating them and paying for storage space, nothing that cannot be overcome with an ipfs server maybe, but still worth to mention.

In any case this could be interesting to you:

It might come as a surprise but you COULD use ETC - they're planning to implement orbita interoperable sidechains that'll boos their network up significantly by allowing them to process upto 1000 transactions per second.

Just not sure how well the implementation would occur given that Etcdev have shut their doors for now.

Agree ETC it's a viable option too, since it's particularly cheap compared with ETH and most of the tool supporting ETH supports ETC as well. Quite a shame they are out of money  Undecided

Has anyone looked into MOAC? I feel like the others are a given and pretty well known. Been digging around for MOAC and this is a blog post they posted today titled "explaining MOAC's ground-breaking tech": https://medium.com/moac/explaining-moacs-ground-breaking-technology-95362b8aa99a

I don't see any information in english and i never heard of this blockchain honestly. If you have anything in english which explain all the aspects of the smart contracts in detail.

Most mature community - ETH - there's just tons of support for any time of issue.
Best throughput - EOS - if your DApp is gonna need to write a lot of data to the blockchain, you don't wanna risk a full network like cryptokitties did to ETH.
Best financial support by whales - Aeternity and Bitcoin Cash have a few rich whales ready to pour money into your DApp if they believe it's good enough to help their ecosystem

Don't forget LISK. For many devs, learning a dedicated language is too much work, lisk makes it easier to use existing skillset. Stratis too.

Stratis lagging behind NEO. NEO is best c# blockchain, very intuitive

EOS and MOAC hands down. Plus MOAC allows cross-chain compatibility along with allowing devs to migrate their smart contracts onto their platform. interesting stuff
