Found an interesting article - https://softmedialab.com/blog/blockchain-for-p2p-lending
It describes in detail the benefits, that blockchain could bring to p2p market. I think - this is an important part of the future financial environment.

Do you know any projects of that kind? I mean with the implementation of the bunch "p2p + blockchain".

Thanks in advance for networking Smiley

I've just found this project: https://lendoit.com/

I don't think they're actually up and running yet, but according to their website they should have a beta app ready in Q3 of 2018.
No idea if they're ever going to launch though, I've not heard of this project before.

Also this: https://ethlend.io/#/main

Again, I have no experience with them.

fiat lending programs are already too risky.  isn't it riskier with blockchain?

Depends, if you are able to get valid collateral, there's not much risk to it.
The thing is that most people don't even bother with that, in those cases p2p lending is extremely risky indeed.

Keep in mind that even if borrowers provide you with ample proof of identity, they could still not care about paying you back.
Or they might be using forged documents.

As said above, most of the people use fake documents. These platforms don't ensure users fund's safety. If you want to lend or get a loan, the best place is the lending section in the forums. From all the options I've seen, It's probably the least risky.

P2P's had a rough, rough time, especially when it comes to crypto and Bitcoin. Long before China cracked down on Bitcoin and exchanges, they were busy clamping down the P2P lending industry there. The big ones globally have also bitten the dust, though some like btcpop seem to have seen some revivals.

They're really huge in my country though and in other parts of southeast Asia.

But okay, based on blockchain? Think there were scores launched last year. SALT was (is?) really successful, but those are blockchain-backed loans rather than p2p lending (you put up collateral for loans). The only one I could remember in addition to suggestions above is Bitbond.

Theoretically, those platforms should have done far better than the likes of BTCpop or Lending Club (in US)... but they didn't ever achieve the popularity of their non-blockchain based counterparts. I'm not particularly sure why but it seems p2p lending was a popular concept because of the democratisation concept, not so much the decentralisation.

I agreed with what you said because the p2p crypto lending business was actually poor and going down the mud before the the Chinese crack down and I only know some few of them but I never use there service so I dont totally recommend them but you can check it out though.

More like, they all failed to combat the greedy scammers in the industry. The investors lost their money and some (like me) are still trying to cover their losses.

Let it based on blockchain, hashgraph or any other super alien robotic automated lending platform. Without personal authentication and verification, the lending business would never work out.

Hello, I saw Bitbond got mentioned  earlier. In case if you have any questions about us, what we do or p2p, in general, I'd be happy to help.

Completely right about that, there's a couple of topics in this forum of loans not being paid back on BTCjam.
The lenders are named and shamed, but they just don't care or now some poor guys personal information is up there while they might not have anything to do with it. (in case of forged documents)

I do think there are some valid alternatives outside of this forum.
Salt also comes to mind, but they do require collateral in the form of crypto.

https://saltlending.com/

The thing is, if people have valid collateral, they usually don't need a loan Tongue
