Images aren't displaying in posts

When I try to put an image in a post (by pasting the direct imgur link between the IMG brackets) it does not show the image in the post, but instead just the imgur link, as seen below:

Does anyone know why this is not working?!

As a newbie, you can't. You have to be a Junior member at least to be able to post images, or you can buy a Copper membership from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Because you need to be a Junior Member to do that. To become a Junior Member you will have to have posted in three activity periods and have at least 28 activity. However, you can bypass these restriction by buying a Copper Membership for a small fee here.

Thank goodness the restriction is there. That is a completely useless image, and it is oversized. Posting it would destroy the thread in my opinion, and would probably get you placed on a few ignore lists. That would stop you getting merits from awarders who ignore you.

Hey Marlborozo - FYI I created a new account thinking that might solve it. I'm guessing you went in and viewed my profile because I'm a female and you're probably so lonely living in your parents basement.

Also bear in mind that after achieving the one merit requirement and the required activity count to post images, or after purchasing copper membership, you would still have to switch to BBcode when posting images on bitcointalk, that way the image appears directly, without linking back to imgur.

There is nothing to look for on your profile, this is not a social platform for personal interactions. Apart from your username which could be easily made up,.there is nothing else which suggests your identity.
