I'm still optimistic that it won't going to happen but before I thought price won't go lower than $5k but here we are. Hope price won't go lower than $1k and will bounce back this year. Just in case 3digit were going to show then I can't do anything, i'll just wish to go lower to the point I can afford to buy a whole btc. But I still love to see the price bounce back next year.

lets not forget about all the damage that these ups and downs are doing to bitcoin. if you stop looking at bitcoin as a hardcore believed or as some people see it as short term profit making machine then you can see how bad it looks from outside.
we have an invention that was supposed to be a payment system which is going to $20000 then falls down to $3000.... we are all talking about adoption but we are also preventing it by having this kind of volatility.
i will also be here no matter what. but at what cost? i think something seriously needs to be done about manipulation if we want to see bitcoin grow and not just rise in price.

It's a necessary phase, especially for something rising out of nothing. No one knows what it's worth so it stands to reason that the process for settling the value is going to be a rocky and violent road. People on it should make their peace with what they're letting themselves in for. No one's forcing anyone to be here.

The first man through the door is the one to get blasted. Everyone else gets to trample over his ruined corpse.

I bet 50/50 so the option is 40% -60%, but I can see that the moods are quite pessimistic. Actually, it is no surprise, that after so many months of price drops, it is hard to think positively and expect that prices will start to grow at all. But 12 months is a long period and many unexpected, positive events can come.

Bitcoin price will recover but it's hard to tell when this will happen. Current phase that we are facing is something that couldn't be avoided, just like volatility, price can't be high all the time.
This dump lasts for a while now and at the moment it doesn't seam that soon it will be over. I don't expect sudden price rise instantly with the beginning of the next year, this might take a while.

Inspired by two equally bold and opposing calls in the Chessnut's 'Critical Level's' thread (85% and 20%), thought it would be interesting to see what anyone else has to say ...

Triple digits as in 999 dollars or less ? I doubt we will ever see that, I mean I do not want to say there is 0% chance anything like that ever happening because this is bitcoin and a lot of stuff that we said will never happen has happened but that is a really big drop in price after such a big drop.

If the price wasn't dropping this fast this soon I would say there is zero chance but since the drop became very quick the only chance of something like that ever happening is if a big whale like Craig decides to sell a lot of bitcoins once again. I doubt they will do that now though, it was a risk at 6.5 thousand as well but definitely worth it for him since he used that to get his own coin out there but right now after all of this happened it would be a financial suicide.

I will give it a 10% chance of that happening, and the only reason I gave it a percentage other than zero is because people are easily manipulated, they see the price of bitcoin and the whole market going down and they somehow think this is the end and that bitcoin is going to lose all of its value and it is never going to recover and as a consequence of those thoughts they sell their coins and lose their money.

But if you really take the time to see what bitcoin has achieved during the last 10 years you understand that is very unlikely that anything like that is going to happen so you can relax and accept that the price is going to crash especially after a bull market.
