I think it will kill the weak alts, many alts use the ERC20 platform as first option, and use BTC as second option pair, i hope the alts will survive with their company program.

Most probably you are right. The only thing that could help buck the trend is ETH 2.0 but who knows when that will actually come to fruition. ETH like most alt-coins now is just dependent on bitcoin for a recovery. Once BTC starts to trend upwards people will also regain confidence in alts.

I don't agree that coins prices will just increase indefinitely if BTC's price is doing so because it is being adopted. They'll still have to have something to offer. Yes, Bitcoin was down 5.5% today. The current price now is $3.2k. I still think it will go down, cause a lot of people has been saying lately that the price will go down to $2500 and that will be the bottom price before the price starts to go up. That is so true because in 2017 there are a lot of newbies who did really good and make a lot of money, like joining bounties alone and didn't look at the past history of Bitcoin or even Ethereum. That's why they complain when they see a drop of 5%-10% per day. But we all know that price fluctuations is just normal in this market. Just look at the last 24 hours, Bitcoin goes below 5 figures again. Bitcoin at least works in cycle because afterall we have this event called block halvening. So we can't really deny and perhaps something big will happen in 2021. So if you're smart investor, what are you going to do prior to that and makes 10 times or even more? Now i guess we are in a bear market. I think Ethereum whales are very happy buying tons of it because the price is very cheap and if ever if the price goes down  casual investors will see that as a perfect time to buy and became a bagholder themselves.

I guess majority of the irrational buyers in 2017 is newbies that's why they don't know how to calculate or even mitigate the risk involved at that time. They just join that year because of the hype in bitcoin and altcoin, I mean that is the time wherein the market went to the moon as majority have said.

However, those days are gone and although we all do hope that it will happen again this year, sadly altcoin is still bleeding and bitcoin is still far from its $20k price (almost). I don't think so because I already have seen that before. When I joined in the cryptocurrency in 2013-2015, the market is on the bearish trend. The bitcoin price in that time is at somewhere about $200-$300, and that was a great time for me because I can start to collect any coins at the market from the faucet. I think this condition is almost what I see in that year because all of the coins in the cryptocurrency has down deeper than I can expect. I am sure that this will be ended and we will see a time for the cryptocurrency to be like in 2017.
