Its says allegedly, however, we haven't heard any official statement specially from GXChain, but definitely, it has already has an impact as the article says it plummeted 20% already and this is a bad news to the investors.

I'm sure everyone here has some speculation that Chinese government is really anti crypto and that could be the main reason for them shutting down one of the most successful ICO in 2017.

in my opinion, GXChain has problems in the concept of investment with the Chinese government so they are closed by the police, I think China is still very friendly with cryptocurrency especially they are now making plans to compete with Libra later.
so don't because GXChain is closed, makes us think of China anti-crypto, you can see this site as proof that China is still friendly for cryptocurrency

This is not encouraging as China seems to be the foundation for cryptocurrency growth, well I feel there are strong reasons behind that shutdown.

The shutdown news is the fact and someone from china has already made a video about that, just because it has other office in another country doesn't mean investors can feel confidence again.
This project is going to be a risky project to invest.
