When you sign a message in order to prove that you own a particular address, you shouldn’t sign anything vague as mentioned here

https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/3337/what-are-the-safety-guidelines-for-using-the-sign-message-feature

I think it would be a good idea if things like date, time and email address could be inserted automatically.

You can sign any message you want. Why make something obligatory like date/time/email in the message?

Let people do whatever they want.

It wouldn’t be obligatory in any way. There could be a button that would insert these things. You could delete it. It seems as if signed messages can be exploited so the idea is simply to insert the kind of text that would be good practice.

That's up to the user to decide.

Maybe like you said, something optional that just "helps" the user on following what we consider good practice. But I wouldn't make such a big deal of it.

No I think this has to do with staking your BTC address in order to prove ownership of your BTT account. It is recommended to stake your address in this thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0
That way you will be able to prove you are the rightful owner of the BTT account in case it gets hacked.

Maybe like you said, something optional that just "helps" the user on following what we consider good practice. But I wouldn't make such a big deal of it.

Additionally, it's part of wallet features. So if you want such feature exist, you should share your opinion on that wallet's community or contributor.

But wallet/client such as Bitcoin core won't add fancy features IMO

Ansolutely. I’m making the assumption that the wallet developers read posts. Should bitcoin core implement this feature then the wallet developers will soon follow.
