I think this is highly possible but I don't know it yet. All I can say is that different materials are planned like for example the Titan-finish version (I think it was planned to be finished by late 2018, but probably wasn't).
I have contacted the manufacturer and will keep you updated as soon as I have more info.

@Jan: A 0.01 loading seems more suited for silver coins to me. I think the reasoning for the low loading is: - Good way to use as a tiny giveaway gift. Also, if BTC starts to gain in value again, the chips will still stay affordable with the 0.001 BTC denomination.
I will make sure to pass your feedback on.
