Yes i think it will be a massive event and after that more and ecommerce and online giants will follow, overall we can say that slowly but surely everyone will become part of crypto market and we have massive times to come in terms of crypto prices.

Would really be surprising to see how cryptocurrencies will pump up as quick as possible but there isn't a verified news regarding facebook creating their own blockchain coin.  We heard the rumors several times but there ain't quite a real statement from them, if it does happen do you think it will be added on crypto exchanges?

There is a big number of facebook users around the world. I don't think it could make it to the "most used product in crypto" but I believe it could at least help share the awareness of people to cryptocurrency and hereby could add in the demand.

I do not quite understand why this coin should become the most popular? Why do Facebook users need it? What they do not like fiat money? Too many questions ... I think it's just a desire to follow the fashion, nothing more. It is curious to see what happens.

This will be a double advantage for Facebook because, in addition to their applications being used by everyone around the world, they will also succeed in launching ICO for their application. Obviously, I am looking forward to what will happen in the future.

if a facebook coin comes on the market, that may change the crypto market. i am not sure if it is good or bad, but it will certainly make crypto even better known. maybe that is the way to go to mass adaptation, or the demise of bitcoin.
Nope, I won't think that they will be getting to the market. Since its stablecoin, it means they have their own market to protect the stability.

I did not expect a stablecoin from facebook, that is really surprising for me. This is certainly a big step for crypto to finally become mainstream. Nice!!  Smiley

If anything this coin will be used for its probably for the advertising fee on their platform.  Facebook will not just be on NASDAQ but will also be in the crypto market in that case. Must be a win-win for them. This news had been circulating for awhile already there must be truth about this.

I also like you have a lot of questions in my head. What will this stable coin serve for? Facebook wants to make money on everyone's hype? Or Zuckerberg is looking for a place where he can store Facebook shares without loss.

This could potentially create a new era of using digital coins for online transactions. The first question that comes to my mind is what could possibly happen to other coins if this will create another competition among digital coins. Specifically we know how popular bitcoin is, but facebook is a place where almost all people from all walks of life stays more often, could it potentially be a threat to bitcoin? Certainly this question are hard to answer not unless if we will know more about this facebook coin in the future.

Most popular, do you think more popular than bitcoin? I do not think. Yes, the price of such coins can have a high price. However, it is not known when this will be done. I heard about it for a long time. However, there is no reliable information about the launch of the development of Facebookcoin.

Although I don't really like facebook to get its hands on everything, making a stablecoin is really difficult because of the nature of cryptos, it would have to be something centralized and for that, they create their own motto like facecoin or something like that, in the end, any adoption is welcome.

This is great and it means many investors will be on the way to cryptocurrencies market.  If facebook Owners can create their own coins I seriously believe that this is going to provide ways for cryptocurrencies development and blockchain technology adoptions and governments may likely began to understand that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is here to stay and they cannot kill it as powerful people that controls countries economic has come in.  I just go through this tweet now and it really seem that this is real and stablecoin is on the pipeline.

Nothing surprising, it's time for such a large company like Facebook to acquire their own coins. And for cryptocurrency, this is great news, since so many people will find out about it and start using it!

I am seriously thinking that the Stablecoins will be the ones that achieve mass adoption for payments and not BTC.
The downside when holding stablecoins is, that you are still in the same fiat based economy, while BTC will be the hedge.

There's no doubt that the masses will use this Facebook centralized shitcoin, so there's a small chance that somewhere in the long run some of those people might be interested in cryptocurrencies that offer way better security and aren't completely centralized. So, even if 10% of the total userbase of WhatsApp somehow gets curious about other cryptos (I mean, major ones like btc or eth), there's a chance that those cryptos could finally reach the mainstream public. Looking forward to see how much of an impact this will have in the crypto space.

wow this is new, if facebook is really stabilizing their own coin to be used on its platform this will be the biggest mass adoption in the history of crypto. imagine there are many business opportunities that they can get from this stable coin. if this is true I might be one of the holders.

if that really happened it will certainly become most used crypto product.
it would be one of the big promotions to make people aware of the use of cryptocurrency.
because there are so many Facebook users, many people will know what cryptocurrency is and what its use is.

Well, the most popular probably will not, but will be in great demand. Yet Facebook is a giant of social media industry. We are waiting for new news about the development of their own stablecoin.
