Is this still traded anywhere? I remember when it was new, didn't think it was still active at all.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Thanks. Well, on the plus side I guess it's still alive. I remember all the turmoil with this coin in the early days, wasn't sure it'd even remain this long.

Just noticed a new wallet was released a couple days ago https://twitter.com/MazaCoin

https://mazacha.in/ gives a very hard security warning in chrome.

Mzc should do well when crypto picks up.

Anyone know of a P2Pool on this coin that's actually still up? I have one up at:

http://www.tmerloservers.com:14477

It's working as far as I can tell, even though it's using an older wallet.

The problem is I can't find any other peers to connect to. The 2 bootstrap addresses provided seem to both be down. p2pool.maza.club and p2pool-2.maza.club. So i'm guessing it's just mining solo right now.

Hello, I just installed the new wallet for Windows 64 bit version 0.10.2 and now get the error that no block source is available and it is also not picking up my maza coins from the older wallet mazacoin-qt.

I tried to go back and use my QT wallet but now it says no block source available as well Sad

Cryptopia has these listed, just put them in your .conf  Wink
(and restart the wallet, or you can enter them on the CLI)

No dice for me :-/  I somehow don't have a .conf file after installing the new wallet appears to have really messed things up.  I tried using the add node feature within the wallet by typing "addnode=107.170.173.232:12835" and I get method not found.

Thoughts?

i'd try to create a new mazacoin.conf, (be careful to save as (all files) .conf and not .txt) just the addnodes should be ok. i havn't run the wallet in a long time, so don't have a roaming folder to check atm

any next news?

What news do u expect to come out? I had been trading maza for quite while on mintpal, long before it was integrated over to moolah. MAZA is 3 years old coin, named after Mr. Motherfucker. That dude had lived in on earth before u were even born. I had know him personally and can tell for sure that he was an utter motherfucker. This doesn't change anything for u, and doesn't make this coin better. Don't touch remnants of a mintpal crapcoin.

I believe that Maza means something like "metal".

Lots of decent coins were on Mintpal, it had a nice user interface.

Too bad about their issues (started with minting customer's VRC I believe), and was finished off with we all know who.
