How many altcoins are actually worth something?

I think only about 10% is an altcoin that has real value from thousands of coins in circulation, and there are even many of them just a scammer who took advantage of this moment.

I think that the current state of the cryptocurrency market should make some adjustments to the existing amount of altcoin. these projects have already lost their attractiveness, but soon the prices for them will fall even lower.

it is hard to say because you would have to go through all of the altcoins and hand pick only those that are truly good and not just shitcoins in disguise and as someone who has done it with a lot of coins and gotten disappointed in 99.999% of the times i have to say that the best guess would be around 10 or less altcoins that are actually worth something. the rest are all in bubbles.

95% altcoin trash. They can be used as a short-term speculation. I would not advise to keep altcoins for a long time. Every month, the exchange will delist the altcoins and your investment may turn into zero.

You are right, there are only several currencies, that have already released their working product and that are really backed by something and not just a whitepaper. Thats why I think there are like 100 coins that are worth investing.

in fact, only Bitcoin is really worth something. I would say that all other crypto currencies are just ideas for now.

I would prefer the top 25 to top 30 alts are still woth something but reality speaking only btc and eth matters for some in our market. I also thought that only 2% of the alts are valuable in our market.

I think everyone has their own opinions about their favorite coins, for myself, I think coins in the top 10 are good coins, so I prefer them to other coins. I think choosing coins that are in the top 10 markets can also slightly reduce the risk of loss.

The number of exist altcoins can not guarantee those altcoins good and worth as investment tool or to traded but the real fact is 99% of the current altcoins cannot survive more than a year and became an dead coin but for me 100 altcoins is good especially if most of them are potential to hold or trade

It is easy to indicate the most value coins in market. As my opinion, which coins are traded daily with big transaction volume stably are really worth coins, at least in market now, but later it is unknown what will happen. You can see 50 coins that you need in Coinmarketcap from order  1 to 50

We do not have too many coin that worth something but not like saying 5-10,that is far from it,If we say 5-10 like some are saying,then we mean the top 100 are useless coin which is not.We still have so many altcoins that are worth investing but the bear has really affected many of them.When you make your research you will find them.

There are some very good altcoin/ blockchain projects that will be worth something in the future, but right now the market is at it's lowest and although we had a small rally before Xmas, the market has again dumped for those day traders eager to take profits and with many holidays still to come up, I don't see much happening for an upside just yet. I think it was just a pre pump to pump a little so they could short again to collect more profits during Xmas and the New Year. I do think some projects will go sky high n a bull run and some will die long before then, so you just need to find the best ones and collect them. I haven't been able to collect many tokens or coins right now due to bear market conditions.

Very few altcoins are worth something. The coins are too much and many of them are pump and dump coins, after being dumped another duplicate comes up and so it keeps going. The top coins on CoinMarketCap are OK to watch and invest on.

Very few altcoins are worth any attention. Most are just pathetic copies of what is already there. And how many do not create them, they still remained garbage, which after some time will disappear from the market.

I will say this. I see that the cryptocurrency is dying. Projects do not meet high standards and are simply useless. It kills cryptocurrency completely. I think soon after most of these dead projects will leave the market.

There are many good projects in the market rite now, out of 2000 , many will disappear with time.

Those who have product or real use case will perform in future , other will disappear.

There are lot of crypto currencies with different usage platforms but not enough places where we can spend those coins so it is hard to find the worthy coins now.But not all those 2000 coins were worthy to invest.

IMO, maybe around 100 coins are worth something. There are some new projects in the 200 or 300 ranks that are not established yet but have the potential to grow.

Well, I do not think it could reach 50 altcoins are worth it. Sometimes the most worth it altcoins will only maximum of 10. There are lots of Cryptos out there but their are few you could say that its really worth it. Its seems to me that some altcoins are just a copycat of other altcoins thats why some of them are worth it and the other are worthless. Hopefully, as time goes by many altcoins will be worth it to hold.
