I don't think I will agree with you on this. The market price of Bitcoin will be hitting $5000 before the beginning of 2019. There is gonna be a bull run of bitcoin within the early stages of 2019. You need to understand the vision and mission behind the use of Bitcoin.

I've been thinking the same, but recently I'm not so sure anymore.

Right now it seems as if stocks are about to turn into a bear market for good while the Bitcoin market appears to finally capitulate and by consequence stabilize (even if that stabilization happens at the mid 2000s). It's still too early to tell of course, but given the recent stock market action it seems like Bitcoin's market cycles may be largely decoupled from the classical markets after all. Add to that the lack of attractive alternatives (bonds are still rather fucked and real estate appears to have been overbought on a global scale in the last decade) and we might just see the beginning of a perfect storm brewing.

It was a bad event, but I am optimistic that this will not happen. i don't think there is anybody left who is actually waiting for ETF news. it is almost a guarantee that we won't see any ETFs go through so everyone is practically expecting SEC to either reject or push it back if they can once more. as a result, their actions won't change a thing.
as for the drop, one thing about drops is that when they become too big, they clean up the market from "sellers" so there is not that many left who are willing to sell anymore and as a result any subsequent drops become that much harder.

I definitely agree on this one, $3k will be the bottom for this year's bear market. $2300 is too much dump for bitcoin, but if this thing happen we should remain calm and have focus on investing with bitcoin so the price will recover easily. Do you even read what you post? If you think that the price will drop to $2300 it makes no sense to hold anything. Sell whatever you have in crypto and count your "profits" as the price approaches your target price.

It really seems that when the price goes up like 10% people start to celebrate the end of the bear market, and when it goes down 10% people expect the worst to happen.

These are great times for news outlets because they can literally play with people's sentiment whenever they want. They have stacks of bullish articles ready in case the price goes up, and stacks of bearish articles in case the price goes down.

If most people here think the price will go up, you are likely better off opening a short position. If most people here think the price will go down, you open a long position. i think there's much stronger evidence of historical correlation that can't be written off by a few days going in opposite directions. if you compare previous cycles, bitcoin and equities often don't move together day-to-day or even week-to-week, but their long term movements mirror one another---both bull markets and corrective cycles. it's good to zoom out and take the short term with a grain of salt. the stock market is prone to panic and fomo just like the crypto market.

the SPX just bounced 11% today---daily bullish engulfing, and the weekly candle looks like it could be a reversal. i've been toying with the possibility that equities are in a big volatile range rather than a new bear market. if that idea plays out, i think we'll see the long term correlation between the two continue.

and if equities really do start crashing like 2008 (we're not even close yet), i think the panic and flight to safe havens will spill over into other markets including bitcoin.

What ever is your point. We need to goal to each other is to recover the market again. We don't want tp see that price. There is no connect  of the bitcoin price to the price april and this month or December 2018. The only way is to have unity to increase again bitcoin.

I somewhat agree with you but you have to remember that this is a free market and everyone can throw arbitrary numbers around and see if anyone will agree with him, specially what just the OP did there. Giving us numbers without any analysis whatsoever so just be calm. The good thing though is that it seems the their is a strong support around the $3000 price, so there's a big chance that we won't see $2300 anytime soon. Unity? Everyone here has its own narrative to fit, market will continue to flow no matter what negative things people say about Bitcoin.

Critical point is not yet coming we can still see that the cap is so huge compare to the past years where people tell that bitcoin will fall, but i can't deny either that people will start to sell whenever there is a another dip will come since that is the natural reaction by those people who cannot withstand to see there money starting to melt. But not all of them will go since most provably there are some of them will cut their losses and buy again with the dip.

of course bitcoin still has the possibility to have a low price, and we must be prepared for that. however, most people only speculate. when the price of bitcoin rises, of course the speculation will be wrong. well, I am always optimistic in bitcoin even though the price drops.

I don't think that BTTC will drop again, just at the level of 3000 $, this will give us a little panic.
