Any Block found on Grinmint?

My Rig is mining since over one hour and absolutly no blocks...

Greets

There are only two blocks mined so far (excluding genesis) in the whole network and the first one took more than an hour. Quite likely that the pool has not mined either of those two.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

If I try to compile wallet713 on ubuntu 18.04.1 LTO (newest patches), I get the following compilation error. Who can help me to solve this?

Quote
~/opt/wallet713$ cargo build --release
   ...
   Compiling zeroize v0.5.2
error: Edition 2018 is unstable and only available for nightly builds of rustc.
error: Could not compile `zeroize`.

I was worried they'd have 50%+ but now it's 12/41 so probably ok.

Got my first full coin. Kinda. Still immature.

There are others. I have https://grin-pool.org/ as my secondary but won't try it until I'm physically next to the rigs, don't want to screw anything up remotely.

I don't think that's accurate. Grinmint API is down but the pool is still working as far as I can see.

Edit: rigs failed over to another pool, so perhaps grinmint is indeed down.

Unfortunately it's either that or Chinese megapools...

Edit: grinmint seems to be back.

Whoever is mining on sparkpool is off my Christmas card list. Spread the hashrate Smiley

A decent project ,I've read your wiki,  transparent and skilled, I like it .

But I thought grin doesn't chose a "tail emission", it's a "stable emission", kinda diffenrent compare with monero
1 Grin/S, 31.5M Grin/Year - supply would surpass bitcoin's total supply just after 1 year , and would be 350M around 2030

It's not easy to run a pow project ,lot's  of projects I've seen in bitcointalk chose to switch to pow/pos or modify the block reward [reduce or add dev fee]
And you even chose a much harder way as  "stable emission"
But you're one of the most talented dev team, might get through it.
Personaly I still thought you would change your mind someday

Good Luck! Grin

With a Ryzen 1700@3400 16 threads in Ubuntu I get 0,35 g/s . Too low for this insane difficulty, but work.

Sadly i couldnt take any Grin, but i like the project, good luck.

you draw conclusions too fast, it depends on how much it would cost, with CPU you will not get much on any coin. in my rough estimation it will be on pair with other cpu minable coins if it will cost ~12$ or ~50k sat per coin. the estimation is based on first 12h of mining and can be totally inaccurate in the long run.
