If you have a long term view you can actually invest in some of those new coins and became a millioniare in five to eight years to come. I believe that we can seriously taken the advantage of the falling in price of ethereum and others major coins and make good profits from them when there began to rise up. $5000 is a good money and when the market appreciate you will be able to make good Profits from it if you buy the right coins.

Better study by yourself . Don't make decision based on our answers what to buy . If i was you i would probably split them in BTC / ETH / Ripple and some low marketcap tokens/coins just in case it shoots up . But make your own study where you would like to put money in .

Well, I can't suggest you any coin to invest as this is a volatile investment and it's not appropriate that you will follow with those suggestions as it will become bias on your side. It's your money that will be in risk then you need to do your diligent research on where to invest your money. I would suggest you to go with the top 10 in the CMC list as these are very impressive coins and have future ahead. If you are really confused research on your own rather than trusting others, well this will teach you a lesson also kindly plan for long-term investment if you really want to make huge profits.

What can i advise you to do is to buy btc now as there are a lot of things that will happen in 2019 for btc though of course it might be good or bad but the thing is btc is surely undervalued right now and if, just if in 2019 all those controversy that surrounds btc will fade then it's time for it to get up again.

It depends on whether 5000 is play money for you or your life savings.
