Which is better- peer to peer centralized exchange or decentralized exchange ?

The question is as simple as the title is. What do you guys think is better between a decentralized exchange(Eg: IDEX) and a centralized exchange which has a peer to peer network (Eg: WazirX)

Anyway, which one is better depends on what each user is looking for.
I like CEX because it better UI and greater volume.
I like DEX because it has better security.

P2P exchanges are way better I think,because we can deal with the trader itself and make the trades happening instant but in the trading platforms we need to wait until we get the traders.But in security wise centralized are lacking the better one,so go for decentralized exchange.

The situation as a whole depends on what kind of exchange is now working and what is its reputation. I think that most people are now very successful. Let's hope that yet decentralized exchanges will be able to win this exchange.

this kind of thread had been created several times, i'm surprise OP hasn't seen such thread that he needed to create another. never have i seen WazirX promoted anywhere but in this thread too. CEX is far better is most aspect. DEX only wins the trust because of anonymity and they add tokens not seen on CEX. etherdelta is known for adding ERC20 tokens never been added anywhere else.

if it's about benefits and benefits I feel the decentralized exchange is the best choice. but it's hard to find DEX that has a large volume, which I know is only new IDEX.

for P2P Exchange I think that is good but as such it is not needed for crypto trading, enough with ordinary centralization is enough now.

I guess decentralize is still what I prefer. I guess in centralize transaction, the essence is not there yes, it is peer to peer but the anonymity is not that greatly emphasize at is is the core purpose of crypto for me.

p2p exchanges or decentralized exchanges are both of no difference if we see from the corner of the interface, but in technically it will  differently function. I don't think are exchanges p2p or decentralized, because the most important thing is the traders are pure, trusted and easy to use.

As for me, I use both but I prefer decentralized peer-to-peer exchanges like IDEX. you asked for another suggestion, I think STEX is also making sense to me. I'm looking forward to IDEX coming up with mobile apps for ease of access. My opinion doesn't mean I don't use centralized peer-to-peer exchanges, I do use them too when need be but not often.

if a p2p centralized exchange means using an account etc and using the exchange's wallets, then that seems like a good alternative for the general user still,
but decentralized exchanges will always be preferrable just the way it's preferrable to hold our own keys,
comparatively more difficult to use tho.

I don't see any multi-platform dexes, and the existing ones adding just erc tokens and they don't add them automatically. And my choice is to use both types of exchanges)

For me the main problem is in the how difficult to get a lot of volume by using dex and remember when you are getting any fees for each withdrawal transaction. This has become the main problem on DEX which centralized offers better volume than it.

actually it is a very complicated question in my opinion because it is not as simple as saying this is better than that. there are always a lot of pros and cons in each system that you have to keep into consideration when you are comparing two different systems. and when money comes into play then everything becomes that much more complicated.
so far exchanges that are more decentralized and safe have lower volume and are harder to use while the exchanges that are more centralized and less secure have the higher volume and better features. so choosing is tough. it seems like you have to sacrifice something to gain something.

I have experience in trading on different exchanges. But I trust more centralized. They are safer. With EtherDelta I have a sad experience. After the last visit to this exchange, My MEW  wallet was hacked , a hacker stolened the eth, well, eth there was not much, only for a commission.

I am the type that believes that all exchanges are better until proven otherwise
Trading in crypto currency exchange depends on the token you have listed in the exchange

Which is why you need to focus more on your portfolio than exchanges

Honestly the security that decentralization has is the main reason for choosing it, but the features it has may not be as good as centralization and users tend to be more comfortable trading in centralization. Apart from all this, both have their own advantages and disadvantages, so it depends on what we ourselves need.

I have never heard of p2p centralized exchange, but i know many p2p decentralized exchanges.
I think p2p is more suitable for decentralized exchange. I prefer to using centralized exchange because the speed is good.

I have no issue with IDEX and it's better for me than any other decentralized exchange. But it was said that this kind of exchange isn't fully decentralized if you are ever aware of the criticisms that they have received.

WazirX? I don't know if this exchange is quite good but I see that this is also listed on coinmarketcap. They may not have the same volume as the typical popular exchange but I'll stay to those that I'm very well oriented and experienced with.
