I did hear February 22, 2019 before. But it turned out that they will not do this at least until it at block 7280000. I got the news from here ;

Its normal for the price to go up before the hardfork but when it is done, that’s the time investors are doubting or looking for a more and better improvements. The price of ETH dump after the delay on the hardfork, though its good so we can buy more but its hard to say now if the price of ETH will pump again when hardfork is done.

The price of ETH dump after the delay on the hardfork, though its good so we can buy more but its hard to say now if the price of ETH will pump again when hardfork is done.

if that will close with the hardfork date and the price of ethereum will jump again, remember it has planned asic resistance and we will get the best thing to protect ethereum from the ASIC miners. This just like the extended sale to get discount.

hardfork ethereum is an upgrade, not hardfork like in previous coins, people are easily triggered at first because of its Title, and most likely this is just a temporary hype, it won't last too long. Volume pada beberapa exchange juga menurun.

It's 17 days to go but I don't see any changes in Ethereum price it is still dropping, my opinion is people will be in a hurry to buy more in the last two days before the fork because they could get Ethereum price at a much cheaper rate because it is sliding further.

And after the fork again decline in price and capitalization and the loss of second place. Not so far all is well with the ether as before, something needs to be changed and not to produce forks.

PoS is worse that PoW and is probably the worst algorithm among all the algorithms out there that cryptocurrencies use.
as for the rise, i don't think we can expect a bull run (or more correctly a big pump) because of it because last time they announced it and people were hyped up the price didn't really go up that much. we only saw a very small pump which failed soon as the whales started dumping it and getting out.

Ethereum "Constantinople Hardfork" is not focus on chain split the "ETHEREUM Developers" remains solid so the hardfork is not resulted into a new coin. But its just only a improvement in many things on Ethereum Blockchain. I believe that its not affecting the entirety of the Ethereum MarketCap size . It doesnt matter if XRP will overtake Ethereum on by MarketCap size what the important is Ethereum still the King of smartcontracts and the most used platform for ICO's and other purposes providing smart solution for "Blockchain Startup". thats the whole idea!

It's one of the big events for ethereum holders and supporters, even though the price is not going up it is still worth to buy now, people will buy two to three more days before the hardfork, who would not want a free coin from Ethereum, so expect the price to roll before the hardfork.

The initial news caused a good wave around the market, and then etherum progressed steadily as well.
But due to the disruption, it all went down again.

The recent updates on etherum says the upgrade is still in progress and will be possible.

I think ethereum hard fork would change a lot of things for many coins, all coins that are currently working in PoW system will see how it will fare with ethereum and many may decide to switch to PoS as well if it works out for Ethereum.

Ethereum has always been an innovative and developing coin that is never happy with how things are and always try to improve upon itself and that is why I love ethereum, it used to be just a regular coin and look at where it is now and without the miners and developers working together to improve the coin it wouldn't be possible to come this far.

Hopefully, when eth hard fork happens the price will go higher up and will have no problems with transaction time and prices so that other places will follow on its path to PoS system which everyone can be a part of without buying any equipments to mine.

There wasn't any influence on market cap. At the beginning people wanted to buy ethereum, because they expected a growth after hard fork. But in reality they were disappointed, because hard fork was postponed and price has dropped!

currently ether is about to hit the 100usd price mark. with such amount we might taste the 70/80 usd price mark before the hardfork. i don't think the hardfork is the reason why ether is dumping. i think investors are moving over to other platform which offers more quick transaction and security more than ether.

The Ethereum constantinople hard fork won't create a new coin except Ethereum and it's an upgrade including the following EIPs:

that is not up to the fork itself and not up to the EIPs.
the result of a fork is decided by the network. if a part of the network decides they want to "upgrade" and the other part decides they want to do another "upgrade" and another part decides to ignore all "upgrades" we will end up with 3 different coins no matter what the fork was, even soft forks can end up with a chain split if a part of the network decides the rules activated by the soft fork is not what they want.
this here is a hard fork so the chances of a split is even higher.

No such thing with the upcoming fork ,its just an upgrade so don't expect any chain split to take place and I believe Ethereum will perform better if the fork takes place because they have the best team so I'm sire they know what they are doing ,let's wait and see in the few weeks we will have answers
