There is also another admin along with the theymos is Cyrus. I think that Themos from the beginning was admin of Bitcointalk. Satoshi is here as a founder. In addition to the two you mentioned (Themos and Cyrus) - If I remember correctly, BadBear was also an admin before, but recently he is not very active here. Badbear is not an administrator of this forum again but cyrus has already taken that place, I guess the admin (theymos) ever interact with satoshi nakamoto directly. But this forum is still owned by satoshi nakamoto as a founder. |

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I have been asking myself same question. But if satoshi owned this forum and handed over to Thermos, that means Thermos must have known satoshi himself
This may not be the case, maybe Satoshi with Thermos are only connected online, they have not really met. Even if Thermos knows who Satoshi is, there may be a secret agreement between them, and Thermos will permanently keep the secret of Satoshi identity. |

Though, i may not really know how it started actually, but from what i can deduct so far from the discussions of the biggest guns here, i am more than convinced, it was started by Satoshi himself, now under the control of some guys now ranging from Thymeos, Cyrus, mprep and the likes.

Yes I have heard about it too that people are saying this that satoshi is the creator of bitcoin. He invented it in 2009 since then no one actually know him as his identity is anonymous but I am sure he must own this forum too. Just keep searching maybe someday you will have your answer but till now I did not find any satisfactory answer of this question. |

As far as I know this forum own by satoshi correct me if Im wrong. And Im very thankf ul to the owner of this forum because of that we can communicate each other easily, gives our opinion and also getting a lot of information and even news are here so that's why this forum is very imposrtant to us and we need to take care this for the next generation who are future investor of the crytpcourrency.

It is owned by theymos himself but it is true that satoshi was a member here and that created the big attention. There was other forums as well and there was many places on internet like reddit and so forth that Satoshi himself could go and talk to people but he proffered here so everyone came here since the founder was here. Theymos managed to make this into a crypto hub but it wasn't all by himself. I had the chance to talk to theymos only once in my bitcointalk life and he is quite to the point type of person, I asked something, he did in under one condition and that was it forever. It is not a wonder that the current administration in place haven't changed for a long long time because Satoshi left them in charge of the forum and when someone trusts you with something (specially if that someone is as big as satoshi) you have hard time trusting others with it. |

I don't think it is owned by anyone really.
There are moderators who help run the place, so I guess you can say that it is "owned" by a handful of people that maintain the website.
But really, bitcointalk is just a forum, that's why its been so endearing and lasted so long.
It hasn't been corrupted by ads or any corporate sponsorship.
Of course, you could say that avatars and bounty hunting are ads, but they aren't intrusive at all.
That is why bitcointalk is such a great place to go to for crypto information and discussions.
You do have to be careful, for every good piece of information there are 100s of trash ones.
But you can generally find what you are looking for, especially since we are all into crypto together.

This has almost remained a puzzle for everyone to crack, but no one seem to have gotten a particular answer to it or answer that is most accurate.
I am thinking that, what can clear the air of doubt is, if Satoshi that some people claim he created the forum, comes to say it himself that he created it, or if most recognized admin comes up and if there is no one to debunk it, then I will be sure.
