My original (and very aged) account was hacked and per the recommendations of the email I received from Bitcointalk, I locked my account with hopes that someone from support would help me recover it. Now, its been 5 months and none of the moderators will respond to any of my PM's. Does anybody know how to recover an account or who would be best to contact in this situation? Thanks!
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

There is a new procedure set in motion a few days ago, which should streamline the process of account recovery. Follow the instructions that are shown here:  Recovering hacked/lost accounts. There is also a bit more information here: Account recoveries are moving again.

Hey Buddy,

I am under the same hammer and as per my studies, I haven't seen any success so far. I wish you can be the game changer.

Let me know if you hear any good news.

There are a few examples that seem to be moving fast according to the seclog:

•  December 27, 2018, 05:25:01 PM - Haymac - manual recovery, previously-queued ownership change completed
•  December 24, 2018, 04:25:01 PM - EnricoS - manual recovery, previously-queued ownership change completed
•  December 21, 2018, 10:25:01 PM - pooya87 - manual recovery, previously-queued ownership change completed

All three cases seem to have recovered their account, since they been active after account was reported a hacked.

Thank you, I will attempt to message those users and see if I can get more info. Thanks again!
