Yes, I've been part of the electronic Dollar (eDollar) community and we performed some kind of community takeover. To not keep the chain and fully rebase the coin, we decided to perform something similar to a swap (via view key instead of escrow).

The "private chain" simply means that the people who have been part of the EDL community were able to mine the first 5000 blocks. It got mentioned so that nobody thinks of it as an instamine. The chain is now public and accessible by everyone. The only thing that's not accessible by everyone are the blocks mined by the EDL community and the previously mined blocks on the EDL chain which has been realized by doing a premine and afterwords sharing it.

I was one of the admins in the EDL discord (Luke_ClashProject). There are about 50 people who joined the premine, meaning that everyone will get about 3x as much TAX as with a predefined ratio.

EDL is a dead project, most likely an exit scam. A team claims to be creating EDLv2 right now, but I cant see any changes on their end over the past two months.

I am a former EDL administrator and created this coin to help the victims of EDL recover their funds. Apart from that, it has nothing to do with EDL. It already is a totally different coin.

Your xxxxx EDL should be HODLd hoping that EDLv2 still happens. The swap is already over (Q4 2018), so no way to enter it now.

That is correct, yes. Clash was swapped to MONO which can now be traded in for aptum. Please excuse all the confusion.
