What antiviruses are the most effective today? what do you use and what can you advise from this list:
Eset
Kasperskiy
Scanguard
Avast
Norton
By the way, my preferences are consistent with antivirus rating. What about level of protection; mcafee review?
For me, not all antivirus are the same, because there are these antiviruses that instead of helping you, will give you more problems because some uses your ram even though it didn't need it, just like in trading sites. In the antiviruses, I think the one of the best if not the best are avast and eset because of its user-friendly graphic and they are really effective in terminating and blocking viruses.
Ohh yeah, but if you will pick one to those 2 antivirus you have mention, whom will you choose?

If in trading site, it is very easy to choose which is the best trading site for me in my long experience as a trader and it is non other than bitrus , but for an antivirus, I think those two are equal and it will only matter on you, the user. With any of these two antivirus softwares and with your intelligence not to the things that will make you prone to viruses then they are all equal.

Common sense.

All most anti-virus do is check for signatures. The best protection against malware is always being smart (not downloading random shit, not falling for phishing scams, etc...); I stopped using an anti-virus years ago and I'm pretty sure I never got any malware on my computer. It's honestly not that hard.

Have to agree with this. If you consider how new strains of malware emerge every 4.2 seconds, it is basically impossible for any anti-virus to keep up. Your best protection like what TryNingja said is to be smart.

The antivirus that I discovered since I studied at the University has always been the NOD 32, it is an antivirus that is always updated and is able to detect even the pages with possible pishing, as I combine it with a software called Advanced System Care, which brings many useful tools that keep the PC fully optimized, I really recommend this combination.

I don't use antivirus, but this puts it in perspective for me. Really something to think about.

I don't think antiirus can save us from lot of internet threats but till I am having avast on my PC which is good for that price we are paying when compared to most premium ones.

But you need to keep yourself safe while surfing internet so learn how to stay away from phishing aites and always check the domanins you are entering just avoid the randomads on the side of google and other porn related websites.
