ok so I'm new here and have a few question. my issue is that I live in the carribean on a island and it's hard for me here to receive online money for example I dont have support here for adding bank acc to paypal to cashout. Or even other services...

now I have a Revolut account cause was the only thing I managed to open but not sure if it's able to solve my problem...

what I would like to do is a way to receive funds either via something similar to Crypto.com that U can top up your acc with crypto and their system have a Card that u can use for your expenses like groceries stuff or whatever, my problem with Crypto.com is that I made the acc and got verified but where I live I can't get the card  Sad

don't know any other ways how to get a way to receive online money to live.... cause with the covid situation I've been free lancing from home but then again I have no way into using the money I gain online

would like to see if you guys have any idea that might work.

thanks in advance

You didn't mention which island specifically but check the following list and see if you can find its name on the list: Supported Countries
Take note: Some of the results and ratings are outdated [some of those services turned out to be scammers] so make sure you DYOR before using any of the listed options.

The following thread might come in handy: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards

If his country is on the blacklist for crypto.com it's 99% sure it's on the list for the others, unless he fits exactly in the small window left with the European overseas territories so he could try Binance

now I have a Revolut account cause was the only thing I managed to open but not sure if it's able to solve my problem...

Revolut doesn't work with actual Bitcoin. Revolut's crypto cannot be deposited nor withdrawn.
Revolut can be of limited use to withdraw fiat from an exchange to the card, but from what I know there aren't many exchanges they accept, the user (KYC) at the exchange and the one from the Revolut account has to match and still Revolut may lock the account for various odd reasons.

All in all, a proper crypto card should be a better solution for you. Keep in mind though that this means KYC.
And yep, Binance card can be a pretty solid option.

I though Revolut was an EU only thing? Have they expanded?

Anyway OP, if you have managed to open a Revolut account, then what currencies are available to you? Can you convert to your own local currency and then spend from the Revolut app? Does Revolut offer a card that you can access?

The reason I ask, is that there is always the possibility of peer to peer trading. You sell your bitcoin or other crypto directly to another person, who transfers fiat of your choice to your Revolut app, which you convert to your local currency. There are platforms such as Bisq, HodlHodl, and LocalCryptos which are designed for this kind of trading.

the thing with crypto.com is that it shows my island/country when registering but not when doing the verification process. so I filled the country to where these island belong which are part of the Netherlands, so when i request the card only shows me europe country which obv not living there.

yeap I saw according to the link u send the 2 island nearby to me "have support for the card" so I will try contact a friend there to see if I can use his address and ship it there but before that i need to pass the verification stuff...thing is compared to the other island we just have around 20k people living here compared to them that have 100k+ people.... and much more services enabled for them

all in all thanks for the reply's any other good idea

I have my Revolut account and Card here with me I passed the verification without any issues... my problem with it is now setting money into it ... i need someone with a revolut acc I guess to use them

would like to see if you guys have any idea that might work.

thanks in advance

I think p2p might be the solution for you. Be patient and hold your coins for a while. Keep them in cold storage.

Recently in this bull run some friends of mine asked to buy bitcoin directly from me. I was able to make a little cash out without paying any fees and no reports to anyone. They just transferred money to my bankaaccount.

Cryptocurrency is slowing getting more adopted, and you can even pay for some services using it. I was even able to rent a friends house  for a few days using crypto, as he was interested. Opportunities like that may show up.

Maybe you can sell for someone in the forum and receive in your PayPal account?

the problem is where i live I don't even have PP support in the sense like I can pay and link my CC to it and so and receive money but then the issue comes when i need to get money out to use to pay groceries and so on like i go to the part to link bank acc and it says region not supported ( like most of other services )

what would be a ideal way was to have a service like Binance Card / Crypto.com Card / Bitwala ( or how it's written ) but mostly also not available for me

I will keep seeking but any other info/idea is appreciated

And Revolut will give you a US bank account? As I said, last I looked in to Revolut (which admittedly was probably several years ago by now) it was for EU customers only. Have they expanded to offering US accounts?

If you have a US account which other people can send US dollars to, then there is no reason you could not trade peer to peer. You would sign up to one of the platforms I have mentioned above, search for someone looking to buy bitcoin via a US dollar bank transfer, send the bitcoin to escrow, receive the US dollar payment, and then release the bitcoin from escrow. No method of trading is completely risk free, but I find that as long as you stick to the platform you have chosen (and ignore anyone suggesting to talk on a different platform such as Telegram or Discord), always make sure to use the platform's trading methods and escrow (and again, ignore anyone suggesting to skip the escrow), and only choose reputable users with lots of good feedback to trade with, then you will have no problems.
