We control a large part of ourselves when we wait. We control how much money we give, which game we play, etc. But there are sites that will not intentionally give jackpots, but only to get money, we can conclude it by recommendations from others or the popularity of that site.

Gambling sites can cheat you with simply accusing you of any kind of breach of their terms and conditions and therefore your best option is to register your gambling accounts with Game Protect and play with consumer protection service inclusive. Smiley

None of the reputed websites like cloudbet, anonbet, sportsbet, etc.* did anything like that in the past with their customers.
--snip--

* - used those names as an example.

On a quick note, I'd like to alert all users on cloudbet's current case where they've been accused of not paying BTC330 to the user who deposited about ~BTC130 (round figure) and then got their account closed for no reason by cloudbet. Investigation in this matter is being carried on here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5106313.0

Why I posted this?
In no means, I'm degrading the values and morale of cloudbet, but I just wanted to take my words back and let the users know that they are at risk even while gambling at the most reputed and trusted gambling sites on the planet. Doing your due diligence is needed before using these sites with huge bankroll.

Twice in a row this month so far if I'm not mistaken.  Roll Eyes
I guess they were able to resolved the first one since it's a brand new negative trust on their profile, hopefully they
can still solve this too, but until that happens, it's best to stay away from them.

Correct, I read all the accusations against Cloudbet and I don't know what really happen but it looks like they need a lot of explaining to do as they have lost trust from gamblers around and I'm sure it has hurt their business. Of course we're always at risk, specially if you're depositing/withdrawing huge amount of bitcoins. So just be cautious and used our common sense.

Gambling is a very risky venture and that is why we need trust in other to be able to participate in most of the gambling opportunity.  If the sites cheat then it will be very difficult for one to succeed in gambling.  Though we have many gambling sites that are trustworthy here.
It is better to gamble to that trusted gambling site than to take the risk to those gambling sites that are not familiar with you. Taking risk is always there when it comes in gambling but it is riskier if you will enter a gambling site that you never enter or not familiar.

Too many jackpots and bonus would mean that gambling site may scam or cheat you. They are tempting you to deposit money in their site and they might as well scam in the end. We should only join such sites if there are enough good feedback about the site.

Blockchain gambling remains the best way to avoid the scams. The centralized crypto betting sites can do whatever they want with no regulation.
This is why we have the blockchain alternatives in the first place. Gamblers and Gambling owners should be migrating to blockchain for the sake of transparency

I wouldn't risk my Bitcoin on their websites if they aren't the reputable ones. And why would someone have to deposit 10BTC or any amounts on a new gambling site? It is just like you ask to be rob by them without considering your safety and security of your coins. Blockchain gambling is your best choice if you want some security yet there are pros and con on each side of gambling it is just on you to accept and take the risk.

Actually those persons who always does that are the ones conceited. Or even just a princess fantasy, have you ever think about being a storyteller? Ofcourse, those funny would say that they can risk that kind of money but in the deep truth they can't even afford a hundred dollar bet.

No one would bet  10BTC for a newly opened platform, for my MAMA's sake! come on, no one would pick that lines up?! Even the crazy people will just waste money unto something but not on that.

I agree with most of the replies. Reputable casinos and sports books will not do such things cause in the long run and by being an honest business they will make much more money than confiscate a 10BTC account and telling it has been hacked. If this gets spread other users will stay away, existing members will withdraw their money which will result in a dying platform. And thats something the reputable platforms will avoid such things

Exactly that. The companies who will pull a scam for just 10 Bitcoins will have a very basic webpage and some very basic games and options to bet. Also the customer service would be run by a single person. Real casinos have daily bets in total of more than 10-100 Bitcoins.
Having high bankrolls can be used as reputation and indication level to how much amount they can bet on that site but making good research before picking will save us from any further scams because slone sites also can be in process so domain need to be right while entering into sites.
There are several sites on the internet to see the credibility of gambling sites, you have to try it. and analyzing the site before
playing is the right thing to avoid scam, I myself prefer to play on a famous and old gambling site, to be safe

Yeah  10 bitcoins is no doubt a very big amount to put for gambling and especially in a newly opened gambling sites. We should always try to play gambling with such amount which is affordable for us to lose, in fact the gambling sites uses different ways to cheat the gambles even the good reputed gambling sites always keep their house edge and collect money from the people.  But, it is just part of their business, only after accepting these parts alone, we may go for gambling with them.

After the introduction of provably fair mechanism, I do believe gambling houses are unable to cheat the gamblers like before. Still, the ball is in their court hence they must be aware of how to do things just by bending the rules and terms. When we are ready to accept gambling for entertainment, this whole topic turns meaningless Shocked.

To avoid such things to happen. Just play on old sites, reputable, and has already build a trust in community by running for how many years. Now if you still has a doubt even how reputable the site is, then we can't do anything on how you think about them. Just go and play physical casino.

You have a good point, but emember, every reputable sites we knew these days such as Fortunejack, Betcoin, Sportsbet and others also starteted from the bottom. For sure that they also experienced bash, bad comments and false accusations when they are in their early stage before becoming successful. What I'm trying to say is that there is nothing wrong of trying a new gambling site, yeah we all know that they could be a possible scam but let us still give them a chance. Just invest small amounts at first to test their credibility Grin. How the crypto gambling industry grow if we only revolve around the few sites existing at the present and refuse supporting emerging sites anymore?

I agree that if we gamble on the new website which doesn't have reputable, the risk will bigger than if you gamble in the old and recommended gambling site. The old gambling site will think twice to cheat their members because they will lose their asset to make money.

True, not all do start to be reputable directly and as being said all start from being small until the time they become bigger and trustable by most gamblers. It isn't really good
to close your mind to judge new sites as of todays. There are lots of scams but as a player it is really need for us to be wary and be cautious. Your self awareness would really help you.

The best solution for not getting scammed is to use websites where you do not need to insert your private key. Ideally, there are some websites where you can play directly from your wallet (by using a browser extension or something similar) so the best are debited and credited instantly from or to your wallet leading to no problems and concerns that you will be cheated.

It's simple for a betting site to swindle the gambling investors and us since they have the ability to do that. However, I surmise that they won't do that on the off chance that they truly worry with their client and the betting locales proprietor are deferential to them. Indeed, even the betting destinations will offer insurance to each part's record and will give a full support of the part and will ensure they can fulfill to play on their sites. It is the thing that betting destinations would If they like to achieve an ever increasing number of clients otherwise known as individuals to their locales supposing that they can get more guest.

I think there are many ways gambling sites can do to trick their users, but I'm sure people will realize it as soon as possible, so that the site won't last longer. Therefore, for us, it would be better to use a site that has been around for a long period of time. Gambling sites that can last longer and are still used by many people usually have a better level of trust.
