I've now removed my negative ratings to you. I'll briefly explain why.

First of all, I am all for burying the hatchet.
Secondly, some events in the Internet where no monetary or other kind of real damage was done, do not really give a complete image of person's trustworthiness.
Given that Vod has worked in various ways to improve the forum, and based on other peoples (positive) views about him, I think that my rating was not anymore reasonable as it now also carries DT weight.

Which raises a question - is there a way to see one's eligibility? Like how many 10-merit users are including the user? The current trust hierarchy can only show who's included by people in my list but not the other way round. I know this can be extracted from data dumps but that's convoluted. Having visibility of it might help detect abuse before it happens.

I don't think so. Someone could make a parser that updates this in real time. Maybe Vod could add it to BPIP (e.g. a page called "DT1 elligibility").

It's essentially just a link that gets created. Blazed, vod and anduck can still be contacted via pm by using their old usernames.

I'm also a bit worried how easy it's going to be for a bunch of Newbies to get on DT1 by abusing just 1 Legendary with 200 sMerit. Of course exclusions will fix that again quickly, but not before creating some drama.

I just deleted my all trust list personalizations and going to start again.
Why, I'm not sure, but my brain just melted a bit and I want to think about it.
In view of the small number of members who actually set their own list, then I guess the vast majority will be seeing red and green trust by default left by these DT1 and DT2 members

if you remove the tag now "only after his tag started to show on your profile" then indeed it will be questionable, you tagged him for "scamming" based on your feedback, so it's either you falsely accused him , or if your accusation was right then it's wrong to remove it now just for the purpose of "cleaning" your trust.

I am not against "settlements" , everyone who tagged someone should allow some flexibility, specially for the "unclear" cases like the own bidding situation you tagged Anduck for, but this has to apply for everyone not just new DT members with new power !

And I will too. If my understanding is right, although I'm not trusted by anyone, simply by virtue of having earned enough merits, my inclusion will count? I always just used Default Trust because I like to see things the same way the majority of users did, but I'll be playing around with a custom trust list over the next few days.

I've now removed my negative ratings to you.

Thank you for taking the first step here. As I said before, although we obviously disagreed about the conduct of that auction, I don't think it should have permanently marked your account given your otherwise extensive positive trading history. More cooperation and less conflict amongst senior members, who should all be on the same team (protecting the forum from scammers), can only be a good thing.

As far as I know the DT1 list also may get refreshed every month so if some of the DT member is abusing the trust system can be excluded by the others.
