Good to see you back, ChuckBuck.  I'm sorry to hear about your accident and injuries, I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

I understand your addiction to speed, I suffer from the same affliction.  I've been riding dirt bikes and street bikes since I was 13 years old, and have owned many motorcycles since, and had at least one in the garage since I was 17.  I've had accidents, but I've been very lucky that I've never suffered any injuries worse than road rash, and a bruised ego.  I used to take risks when I was younger, but I mostly limit my speedy ways to controlled environments; track-days at the local race track.

It takes a lot of focus and discipline to ride at high speeds and maintain your safety.  The equipment has to be reliable, and requires inspection.  People often neglect their bikes for months at a time, then think they can just hop on them and go.  Even people who commute on their bikes regularly tend to overlook simple things like tire pressure.

Once you're riding you have to constantly lookout for potential obstacles, see the big picture.  This isn't something that can be taken lightly, it's not just some words out of the driver's manual.  You're life depends on how focused you are, and that cannot be stressed enough.

And then there are always idiots out there who refuses to acknowledge your existence, and even then, if they're made aware, they can be dismissive of the gravity of their neglect.

The risks are real, and only those who understand them should ever consider riding motorcycles.

Wishing you the best in your road to recovery. I’ve had major back issues since I was 14 and have been in and out of physical therapy many times. So I feel your pain on some level. Glad you’re still here though
Physiotherapy is truly a great method, except that you have to suffer a little pain every day for better  Cheesy To be honest, at first, I felt quite depressed knowing how bad things were. It was too much for me to imagine, you know, I never thought I would  Cheesy

(Had an uncle who wasn’t so lucky on his bike  ).
Ya, I've always felt lucky that I'm still here. In this country, dozens of people die from traffic accidents every day  Embarrassed Also want to condol your uncle

Some good news for ya ..I was greeted the other day by a certain someone who started our. convo by saying to me something like  “hey you filthy cunt”, or some version of that. I know you’ll never figure out who it was  Cheesy

Really? Are you kidding? You mean that TMAN is somewhere with another account? No, no way  Cheesy But that way of talking, cannot be 100% confirmed, but I thought of TMAN immediately when I read your quote  Cheesy Well, I spend 5 minutes thinking of a obscene sentence similar to him, but I can't  Roll Eyes It must be difficult to imitate him  Cheesy

Good to see you back, ChuckBuck.  I'm sorry to hear about your accident and injuries, I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
I wish you and everyone here always healthy  Wink

Admittedly, I wasn't careful that day  Cheesy You know, adequate preparation is good, and on every long trip, we need to prepare everything well. And on that trip, everything seemed ready, except for my consciousness Roll Eyes Normally I shouldn't be running too fast, but the eagerness of going to a city I like and the beautiful road made me pass my caution. But not just my consciousness, but the consciousness of others as well. Have you seen someone who doesn't turn on their lights at night? If they turned on the lights, I could see from afar, a little unlucky here  Cheesy

And then there are always idiots out there who refuses to acknowledge your existence, and even then, if they're made aware, they can be dismissive of the gravity of their neglect.
Cry Cry Cry I couldn't do anything else, just accepted
