Why do people but bigger bets in sports compared to other type of gambling?

Its much more easier to to predict sport betting than others. Even those who do not even watch matches can easily predict because ones you watch a match very well or follow the match, its easier to tell the outcome. For me i cannot use big money to play bets am not sure of, i would rather spend that on sport betting because theres no way i will not win one out of 3bets.

If you don't know it yet most people prefer to bet big especially if they know the capabilities of the team they were betting. Chances of winning depend on the skills and odds of the game they were betting and it is just a one time to happen. If they got their chances now why would waste it for the other game?

The chances of winning never depends on the odds. Bookmakers set their own odds depending on which team they think has the edge according to their stats and that convinces you to bet on the favorites which could confuse you.

As stated there isn't any need to play against the house, but house always gets an edge however there is winning and loses happening between the users. Next thing is the multiple winning, as in dice we bet and won't get 5x bet amount through sports betting same as dice which are upon probabilities. Here more the amount wagered more will be the winning as it is hard to get chances to place bets above 3x

Besides that, if they are placing big bets in the sports betting because they are very sure that their teams have a big chance to win the game, so they don't want just to make a small profit, but they want to make a bigger profit. I think one of the reasons why there are more people who gamble that gamble more on sports is because sport has more fans, everyone is a fan of football, whether they watch it or not, they keep themselves updated with the news of football. I am personally a fan to  football team and I see it as a great pleasure placing a bet in support of my team, I love football and whenever am not able to watch match.

I would still follow up with the news both online and on YouTube highlights, so for someone like me, it would be easier to place bet on sports and I could trust my luck better here compared to other casino sites that might probably require more skills.

i think there are more sports fans than gambling fans out there and sports fans tend to know a lot about the sports they're intersted in. That's they bets made in sporting events are full of confidence, hence the bigger bets.

sports based gambling needs more analysis that other types of gambling games out there because sports based gambling games are not played randomly . they have teams and players and all of them have different set of skill and knowledge on how they play thier game  .
