Ive been using Hodler wallet for almost 3 moths, so far I find it great and no problem with up to now. Have you heard anything about it or have you tried using it? What can you say about the wallet? They are now available in desktop and android app, soon to be introduced in IOS. Heard also that they have hardware.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Heard it somewhere in this forum but never tried it as I'm somewhat satisfied with the wallets I'm using, mycelium, electrum, and nano s.

Seems like the wallet has a pretty clean-looking UI, I'm personally a fan of the dark theme that the wallet seems to come with by default. I also use a combination of various cold wallets including Ledger Nano S devices as well as Electrum to store my coins, but I'll consider using this as a hot wallet in the future.

This is the first time I heard the wallet.

I found the interface is good based on the screenshot you have provided.

Don't know how reliable the service is but looks like it's worth to try.

I found their thread here for references: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032817.0

Never heard of this wallet. If it is some sort of online wallet, then I would recommend you not to store huge amount of coins on your wallet. Online/Web wallets are prone to getting hacked. Once they get hacked, there are chances that you won't get back your coins anymore. Moreover, if you are not controlling the private key of your wallet, then that means you do not actually own that wallet.

I would definitely wait like a couple of months, maybe longer, to actually give it a go. Most people haven't heard of it yet, so let the risk takers--non caring people go first and see if they go through problems or not.

I still believe that for utter shitcoins Coinomi is the best reputable mobile wallet client available, especially with all the features they offer and how fast they add more coins on a regular basis.

Coinomi has served me well with shitforks throughout 2017 and 2018, and I'm happily looking forward to the next wave during a bull run. By that time it could be worth my time to claim them as their current value definitely isn't motivating.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Its a fully opensource multiasset wallet, it gives you full control of your private key and no need of third trusted party. Its one of kind wallet, a must try one. You can check out their website for more info about their features.

Do you have anything to do with that wallet? E.g: you are a dev, a friend of a dev, someone from the team, etc...

If you are, it's better if you just disclose it now.

I just checked your post history and looks like you talk A LOT about this wallet. So, you don't sound like a regular costumer "wanting to find out more" about the wallet.

You made me check his history too and I confirm what you found.

Honestly, I like the UI of that wallet but I'm already satisfied too with the current wallet that I use. Maybe I'll try that in the future for holding some altcoins that I've got in dust amounts.

I know a lot about This because I'm a user. The team is also friendly and made me part of their signature campaign before. Would like to know why should I disclose this. Its an honest thread wanting people to know about their impression about the wallet. I am wanting to find more since I'm not familiar in more technical side of this wallet.

Since it is open source, did anyone with understanding of how to verify code look into this?

Most people here assume that open source means it's safe because you can check for yourself if it is or not, but since the majority here don't know how to read code, they can't verify the application as a whole. I'm mainly interested to find out how random the process of generating key pairs is, because there are enough malicious clients out there that look great, but will run off with your funds eventually.

You did notice well that OP is advertise this wallet in almost every post in last two week (just by looking first post history page), and in my opinion, this is not about any super-satisfied user, but simply someone who promotes this service for money or some other benefit. This does not necessarily mean that something is wrong with this wallet, but to anyone who wants to try it I advise to not send too much coins in any relatively new wallet.

You should try it, one of the best multiwallet knowing that it is The only fully opensource multiwallet. I've been using it for 2 months and so far I find it better than other wallet, so far so good.

Ten days ago he say that it is using this wallet for two months, and in this thread he say almost 3 months - in next few days 3 will probably change to 4 Smiley

Regardless of whether you're just a grateful happy user or paid for ad, you need to tone down your "hodler posts" cause its backfiring, making your words less credible.

If you wanna know more about the technical side, state it in the post and I suggest moving this to Alternative clients . This isn't a web wallet.

Would like to know why should I disclose this.
Because I don't trust people who do this (shilling a product because of self-interest), mainly for a wallet that I never heard of. So, (IMO) it's better if you just come clean if you are not just a normal user.

I personally don't trust Hodler; they seem very technically incompetent. For their ICO, they were confident that their cloud infrastructure for wallet storage couldn't be hacked, a special OS would be entirely hack proof, that backing up private keys to the cloud is more secure than keeping them on the device only, and that offline devices such as Trezor or Ledger were less secure. They also loved to avoid legitimate questions.

I'll second that. Never heard of it, but I won't let that be the considering factor, given that I'd never heard of Samourai Wallet until several months ago when I came across their ANN thread here. I have personal experience with an ICO-related wallet project that sort of showed me how devs think and the first sign of incompetence is arrogance and ignorance... the audacity to claim they're building something hackproof and to challenge conventional wallet wisdom (like cloud more secure than offline?) without substance... big red flags to me.

Compare that to the very quiet yet solid development and lightning-fast responses to fixes by open source non-ICO wallet devs and there's really no competition (except for the multi-asset function).

But at least it looks real, unlike scam wallet/project which put random code files or executable on their commit Tongue
Looking real is where the danger lies. The main problem here is that you don't know how random the keypairs are. If all of them are pre-generated, you basically expose yourself to the risk of having the entity behind the client take a run with your funds. If that entity is smart, he won't be touching small amounts, but rather wait for a couple of big fishes to slaughter to enjoy a nice paycheck.

IMO the only way to verify it's source code is by pay someone who expertise and have good reputation in this field.
It could be that someone with understanding is interested in the client and does it for himself and shares it with the public.

Man, am I happy that I don't deal with shitcoins. Bitcoin Core + Electrum is all I need. The best of the best.
