I want to start by saying that most of these methods aren't really profitable (especially if no particular action is required by the applicants).

I originally made this post in the Italian part of the forum and since it growed quite a lot i thought to translate it in here too, since i see most of Beginners ask for a way to earn Criptocurrencies.

0) Mining

Pretty obvious, since a big number of crypto use the PoS consensus, mining them is a way of obtaining them.

There is an entire section of the forum dedicated to help Miners out and you can find it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

1) Bounties

* Signature Bounties on Bitcointalk
It's usually required to be a Jr. Member or Member Rank and above, you will have to wear a signature/avatar of a crypto project, write a number of posts per week and at the end of the bounty period you will get paid in that CC or BTC (Higner the BTCTalk rank higher the stakes aquired)

*Articles/Exposure Bounties
You will need to write an article (Medium, Steemit...) or to create a reddit thread to expose teh project to more people.
Usually paid according to the quality/quantity/exposure of the post.

*Translation Bounties
Pretty self-explanatory, you will have to translate something related to a Cryptocurrency  (website, whitepaper, ann thread...) and you will get paid later.

NOTE: You can find bounties programs on BtcTalk and on websites like https://beta.bounty0x.io/bounties , https://icobench.com/ , https://www.crowdholding.com/about and https://bountyhive.io/

2)Airdrops

There are tons of websites specialized in airdrops, but at the moment most of them are garbage (the airdrops, not the websites)

A small list can be:

* https://www.parachutetoken.com/  (haven't seen a recent airdrop , there was a restyling of the website and now they seem more focused on expanding  ParJar, usually they airdrop PAR or partners tokens if you are somewhat active on the Telegram Channel)

* https://airdrops.io/

* https://airdropking.io/

* https://airdropalert.com/

* https://coinswitch.co/airdrop

Usually you will be required to have some/most of these to participate: Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, Email, LinkedIn, KYC...

Remember to not trust the theoric values posted, but give a loot at the theoric Marketcap to have an idea.

3)Faucets

I'm not a connoisseur of faucets, but i'll add the ones that people link in replies (no referrals)

* https://classicdelegate.biz/faucet  Ark Faucet

* http://moonbit.co.in/ BTC Faucet (check https://coinpot.co/ to know similar ones for other currencies)

* https://www.nanofaucet.org/  NANO Faucet doable only once

* https://nano-faucet.org/ NANO Faucet

* https://faucethub.io/  btc,eth,monero,litecoin & many others faucets

* https://allcoins.pw Similar to faucethub

* https://freebitco.in/ BTC Faucet

4)Cindicator

The Cindicator App offers montly rewards for the users, you can forecast on Crypto/Traditional Markets values, and at the end of the month you will receive CND tokens based on your performances.

https://app.cindicator.com

Only email required, there's also a mobile app avaliable.

5) Online Surveys/similar Tasks

* http://rewardingways.com/ Online Surveys website, paid per click, tasks (sign up,download,research that pays in bitcoin (high payout, 40$)
* http://dollarclix.com/ paid surveys
* http://www.globalactioncash.com/
* http://superpay.me/
* https://www.bitcoinget.com/
* https://www.birdchain.io/ (Android App)

5) Advertising Banners

You will need to have a website to use these (higher traffic higher payouts obviously) and replace the normal banners with the ones that pay in crypto.

* https://a-ads.com/

* https://www.bidvertiser.com

* http://afiliacioncentral.postaffiliatepro.com/affiliates/tour.php

6) Browser Mining

Probably even less rewarding than faucets (you will need to stress your PC and consume electricity).

* https://get.cryptobrowser.site/it/ Browser that mines BTC

* https://coinhive.com/ Pretty well known Monero mining script

* https://miner.nimiq.com/

7) Videogames

I have no idea how profitable these are, you will also have to take into account your skill.

* https://wiki.nanocenter.org/index.php?title=Nano_Quake  Quake 2 with NANO Payouts for the 3 best players, buy-in of 0,1 NANO, possible to play even without it but you won't receive payouts if u win. Read the wiki to know more!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to thank the following users for helping me with the list: bitcoin-shark, JGreg96, federik95, lukax8, Fenya96, Obiwankenodium, anu1908, LeGaulois if you know more websites/methods please write them below and i will update the list!.

Faucets and Airdrops (in which you have to do some social media tasts) isn't worth it anymore in trying to acquiring free cryptocurrency. The airdrop that are still profitable are the ones you receive free coins for just holding bitcoin or some other coins like ethereum too. Don't waste your time on faucets instead go get a job that paids in bitcoin that's if you don't want to buy bitcoin.

Majority of these are already popular among the community, and there are helpful guides already on them.
As has been pointed out, faucets are of little value in the current market, and only a small percentage of total airdrops organized turn out valuable, and personal data is sometimes required.

Yep, that's basically what I said in the post already, but I hope having a thread with a list of them will help minimize the " how do I earn crypto" without investing money that pop up from time to time

Airdrops are the one I dislike the most inthis list
I Know there were some profitable Airdrops in the past,but now most of them are just giving you cents for tasks in Twitter, telegram Bitcointalk etc just to inflate their numbers. They even require kyc sometimes.

They are definitely not worth your time.

Why no mention of regular PoW mining?  I think that is one of, if not the the most popular ways to get your hands on crypto outside of purchasing it.

Why no mention of regular PoW mining?  I think that is one of, if not the the most popular ways to get your hands on crypto outside of purchasing it.

The problem is that PoW usually needs at least a good computer, energy at an affordable price and a reasonable knowledge about installation of dedicated software and in many cases on linux.

Many people who participate in bounties and faucets use smartphones and computers that are not theirs.

But I think it would be interesting to at least mention the possibilities offered by PoW. New and serious projects like Grin offer great possibilities for those who want to know a little more about mining and be rewarded for it.

Basically what vit05 said, in my country electricity is pretty expensive too.

I wanted to list more Beginner/Noob friendly ways.

Also I have really no idea on what it's profitable to mine at the moment and seems that it changes quickly, I couldn't list the right projects.

If you have a BTCTalk threat about that I could put a mention and a link so ripple can inform themselves better

Electricity is pretty much expensive in every country I believe.

I agree with the others mining isn't a very viable considering how much your CPU/ GPU gets squeezed just to generate mere cents. Definitely the most "expensive" option among the rest.

Mate, I don't agree with you about faucets. I'm glad that I had wasted lot of time claiming from faucets. People always were saying that faucets not worth our time and etc. But in past I earned decent money from. I was claiming actively, also had lot of referrals and earned money which are close to my monthly wage. Maybe now faucets aren't that good to use as it was few years ago, but it if you newbie without skills I see nothing wrong to use it. Now crypto value is very low, so faucets gives you more free coins. If you will hold these coins until the bull run, then you can get nice profits in final result.

But you mentioned browser mining, which is basically same PoW mining and you need electricity for it. But briwser CPU mining is really not worth, especially if you have not powerful computer. It increase electricity consumption of your computer, if you have weak device it's difficult to use it when you mine, and finally, you will only get 70% of earnings if you use Coinhive.

I think having referrals is a big part of that, but i'm really ignorant about faucets so i'll let people do their research and choose.

I mentioned browser mining because it's quick and easy, but since people keep on pushing for the normal Mining i'll add a paragraph about it

EDIT: done, made the paragraph 0 with a direct link to the mining board

I even didn't know faucets websites still exist, that's perhaps the first transactions I did while learning about bitcoin.
GPT websites to take surveys are good if you're from Tier 1 & 2 or if you can get a lot of referrals, I did decent money monthly using it for years. The advice I can give is to have patience.

You could add Nimiq to the list, it is a coin that can only be mined using CPU and it is really user friendly with it's browser mining. It is not much, but in my opinion for a newcomer in the crypto space it is a good place to start, to mine some coins, send them and to get familiar with the concept of blockchain.

Do you have some links for those GPT websites for surveys so i can add them?

Faucets are not a worthy this days because you will get less amount in the proportion of your spending time. You will not click for $0.05 for a whole day because it will get you nothing. If you think that this will be change to a big amount later, I say you think about the time you spend. If it does not change to a bigger, there is no sense to click faucet.

Really if one doesn't purchase,mine,or use ones skills acquiring bitcoins can be difficult,though just as you've mentioned there are other means,but most times the rewards are usually as little as nothing and even accumulating them over time wouldn't still be profitable.
Other than the ones I just mentioned,bounties are also a good way to earn cryptocurrency,but it's much more sensible if it's a bounty paying in bitcoin,but if it's not then things get a bit harder as those Alts/tokens could be worth nothing now and even I the future,or they may never come.
Likewise faucets,they are not profitable,not to talk of airdrops
Though all this are viable means to earn cryptocurrency no matter the amount.

You and me still have sites with faucet list and we are long time in that, so we can talk about that from personal experience. All you say is true, it was same in my case when I fist start to interesting in cryptocurrency. But this was a time when price of BTC was very low compared to today and with some refs it was very easy to get 500 000 satoshi or more every day. So I get my first BTC from faucets, and then I join my first sig campaing and start to get more coins just by posting and learning on this forum.

Faucets are always adapt to BTC price, so today they are not pay big rewards, but if user pick only best paying and use some good sorted faucet list then it is possible to collect decent amount of coins every day just by using faucets few hours. We all know that those coins have very low value today, but this should be viewed from another perspective - next ATH will probably be more then 20 000$ per BTC, so all you earn today will be worth at least 10x more - for some waste of time, but watching TV, playing games or any similar activity is also wasting of time in my opinion.

Browser mining, airdrops, bounties are in my opinion pure waste of time - you risk to get 0 with them after you do your work. But if you have modern/strong PC, mining some new low difficulty coin can be profitable.

seems like you forgot to include Bountyhive. it's a great platform, but they have limited slots for each bounty task. so if you join and the rest failed to fulfill the requirements, you can get all the tokens. on top of that, they don't accept any appeal, so if you're denied then it's finished. no spreadsheet/public audit either, so there's some issue on transparency.
