What happened: Stealing private key by fake airdrop trap.

This website isn't OCN official website. An telegram admin confirmed that is a fake website by tweet on Twitter . Once you will visit fake website you will see join airdrop. When you click you will see below option.

After that once you will go next step then they will ask you for your MyEtherwallet private key. Let's check on screenshot.

Most of us we know we should not enter private key but this post is for much greedy people's and I have search on forum I can't find any post about this website. So this post will help them who will search on forum or on google as well.

Never give your private key even ask OCN founder. Don't share it. You will loss everything from your wallet. Stay away from this kind of trap. They have telegram group and there you will find fake supporter. Don't believe them.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Thanks for the warning.

There has been a swarm of these phishing sites which pose as ICOs/giveaways that have been asking for private keys of people in order to receive the giveaway amount, and it is quite dangerous as newbies are quite prone to these.

Anyone should know that legitimate giveaways will never, ever ask for your private key or for you to send them funds first to receive more funds in return. Anybody who promises those types of things are scammers, and will run off with your money.

Also, there should be no instances in which giving away private keys is necessary, unless you are importing your private keys into another wallet. If someone wants to verify that you own an address, they can always tell you to sign a message.

some may fall for it because of the offer. But, this not new. Up for this thread so that newcomers could get an idea how cruel cryptocurrency if one will be victimized by this phishing website.

There are more like this scammers, hackers and fraudsters are doing their best for them to scam. I bet there are already a lot of competition when scamming other user.
