I would like to point out that I am full aware I should have held my coins I bought at 500 haha. However, your pump today fucked me and I lost 50% immediately.

Luckily, I was waiting on a deposit and could only invest less than 10%

No, the problems are all the ways that PoS is insecure.

Read up on it.

Having hybrid, so blocks can also be mined by proof of work, is one of the most commonly used fixes, but this coin is being touted as having done away with that.

So what mechanism is it using instead to fix the problems?

-MarkM-

MarkM is totally correct.  I've spent about a year trying to design a good PoS/PoW hybrid system, and gmaxwell still thinks my system is going to eventually explode itself into oblivion.  Gmaxwell himself tried to design 4 different PoS systems and abandoned the work because he felt like it could never be secure.  The original source code of nxt could be allow anyone to burn through blocks by tweaking the nonces, and all that required changing was two lines; it's dubious whether or not pure PoS could ever work, or even if it's a good idea.

Further, if they forked Peercoin, they should probably be aware that the security for the PoS block mining algo depends on the timing of PoW blocks on the network... so expect that to break if you just forked the coin and decided to turn off PoW at block 10,000.

So from 500 sat to 1400 sat back down to level 1000 sat.

What part do you not get? Blackcoin is now holding price >100% higher than 2 days ago.

Have you never heard of price action??!

PS. If you have, you'll be looking to accumulate around 1,000 sat area

If you bought at 500, how can you lose 50%? Since the price rose it hasn't come back down under 1,000 sat? So you must have 100% profit right?

Even if you bought at the top (let's say 1,500) the current price is around 1,100 so that would be 27% down? Just wait a little longer, the 1,000 sat area is the new bottom Cheesy

I've heard this a few times. The Support at 1,000 is too strong. There's no way Blackcoin will ever see 500 again. Never.

If you review the charts for BlackCoin you will see it holding steady at 1,000 satoshi level, i'm using the Mintpal charts. Draw a line at the 1,000 satoshi level, what do you see?

Technical analysis is not for everyone, lines of support/resistance can be difficult to spot.

BlackCoin Multipool launches tomorrow:

"The multipool works in a very simple way, you point your miners to our server and we make sure you get paid as much as possible from your precious hashes. When you mine with us, we trade the altcoins we mine into BTC, then buy BC at the best possible price, this creates buy pressure for BC. This translates into one thing, BCs will be worth more. Simple as that."

Blackcoin is holding 1600, there is no dip yet, if you are not already in I still recommend you take a look! The Balackcoin pool launches soon and there'll be even more competition to pick up these coins - the price could further explode!

BlackCoin broken through 1,800 satoshi. An attack on 2,000 is imminent, watch the price, trade carefully, buy on dips. But beware, there might not be any dips for a while at this rate!

If you prefer not to do due diligence that is your own choice.

There are quite a few search results not only in this section of the forum but also over in the development section.

The material in the development section is likely to be more technical, but as bitcoin itself does not use proof of stake much of the material that started there may well have been moved to here by now.

-MarkM-

Maybe you need some due diligence, altcoins are men't to see what can be improved, PoS is a work in progress, so  LOL

Yes that is why I want to read their paper explaining what improvement it is that they made.

Do you expect to be spoon fed with papers and explanations - do your due diligence and read the source.  Grin
