Looks like Alertpay is having problems with Visa and Mastercard processing, and Amex shutting them down too soon. Usually when Visa and Mastercard takes down a website's ability to process their cards in any way, it is over for good. Getting back on good terms is historically not really possible. That however means we have thousands of people not able to move money around as they used to. This could be a good time to get them introduced to Bitcoin.

<helo> funny that this proposal grows the maximum block size to 8GB, and is seen as a compromise
<helo> oh, you don't like a 20x increase? well how about 8192x increase?
<JackH> lmao

Alertpay was mainly used for HYIPs and forex scams. Nothing of value was lost... Roll Eyes

Seems like only a matter of time before Visa and Mastercard will have squeezed out every other form of payment processing. They've even got Western Union in their pocket now.

If only there was some way to fight it... some kind of decentralized technology...

The people in the world are still sleeping, they are scared, and they just want to live their lives and watch football and get entertained. That's all.
That's also the main reason why i don't see any changes in monetary or economic systems in this generation or the next. It's the people's attitude.
