Give Legendary members some competition

Hey before you continue reading this, I just one to point out to you that this topic is totally a joke don't take it that seriously.

These days, it looks like most Legendary members are a bit relax they don't tend to post much & most of their replies are just shot, one line and sometimes meaningless (no offends). And other times all they're interested in is DT1/DT2 aka trust system and scores

How about awaking their spirit by giving them a little challenge maybe it could be something like this.

1000Merit = Legendary
2000Merit = Diamond Legendary
3000merit = Silver Legendary
5000merit = Gold legendary

This ranks can be accompanied with some benefits or maybe just the bragging rights 😂

Maybe this will awaken them then we can differentiate those just enjoying the privilege of a early forum user and those with quality under their sleeves. Then they can get back to their old ways and maybe we learn one or two from the post they write.

Remember this is just a joke don't attack me please 😂

Someone has earlied suggested this kind of rank but theymos didn't show any interest, IIRC. Also, oneline replies are not a problem if you are on topic, logical. I also do think that a rank should be introduced.

If your recommendations implemented, there are a complicated pyramid ranks and rewards/ previledges. Maybe I am wrong at this point.
Personally, I don't support your suggestion and still thought that the current ranking system is good.

Anyway, everyone should raise their ideas and potential initiatives to make the forum better.

I stand by my suggestion:

We're going to need another rank above Legendary eventually (if we don't already). Not sure what it should be called, but others have suggested some titles somewhere.

I'd say just "Legend" sounds good. Or maybe just add a bold font to the current Legendary rank.

Which one: "Legend" or "Legendary"? I prefer the former. It makes "Legendary" look like "Legend-ish"

Jet cash I know you're in too but it irritates you when we talk about merit, merit, merit so I'm sorry for that.  There are still few legendary members contributing but the rest are just relax that's why I said lets bring in some competition knowing healthy competition are good for development & learning.

I don't think is a good idea, what if I will come back after 2 years?
I like more the decay on they merit value, if they lose merit they lose their signature privileges and value on the account for the sellers.

A natural good post would always be a good poster regardless of rank and merit and we do have some in the forum who loves to contribute to the forum in anyway possible and last time i checked they hadn't relented

After long period of inactivity there is a risk that accounts will pass to hackers/spammers, etc.

Please understand a subjective and broken nonsense score which suchmoon calls "meaningless" is of course something that can not be given any meaning?

It should be decoupled from rank after snr and removed from anything other than a minor role in DT

You should visit technical boards more, there, members, regardless of their ranks, are doing a great job by posting very informative posts and answering newbies questions.
In meta and suchlike boards, where discussions are about the forum updates, don't expect to see long and detailed posts.
Usually legendary post there coz they know the forum better than anyone else.
We don't need to add other ranks since it is not the rank which matter most but the user's reputation.

Thanks, when it comes to technical stuffs concerning bitcoin I'm just average that's why I have been ignoring the board, don't what to sound stupid on the board but since you have pointed that out to me.  I'll visit board more often mainly to read through thread and perfect my understanding.

Yeah, but you start with two times more merit earning power and 100 initial sMerit and one minion that isn't doing anything.

And once you reincarnate two times you gain the power of ignoring trolls even if they are quoted by a member that you don't have on ignore. Sounds tempting?
