Starting all over again with new account. No response from admins :(

After slowly building my reputation on here my account username : mojolama https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=102808 was blocked.
Tried for a few months to contact admins through suggested channels but no response.
Seems only solution was create a new account and start all over again.
Puzzling how unhelpful admins are regarding reinstating accounts after all the donations and goodwill this forum has received you'd expect a better level of attention towards the community on here

According to Bpip the account isn't banned, but he can't use it after a password reset via secret question.

Well, maybe it looked like I was being hacked by the system... But have explained in my posts/emails to admins what happened. Basically, I was away travelling and didn't have my laptop. Received a forum message and tried to respond from my phone, didn't remember my password and entered secret word to make new password. I then tried to login, was asked to enter the captcha but it wasn't visible on my phone.... after that I was blocked

I never had a btc address linked to my account so couldnt sign ...

If you can’t sign a message then sadly you can’t prove ownership bro. That’s the way they govern it unfortunately.
You could be anybody trying to access that account. I know it’s most likely yours but you can’t prove it

Actually there were some cases where members succeeded to recover their locked account without providing a signed message.
But at least, he should send an email from the email linked to his account.

Example:

I just recovered my account a couple of days ago without even a staked address. All I had was the email I used to register it. To be honest I think the account recovery team is fair enough.
If you don't have access to the original Email address used for registering then you have lost the account too.

Hopefully this can also help curb account sales in some way

What I would love to be added on the registration process is the confirmation link sent to the email address you used for registration so that we also get to verify the email address because sometimes when one is registering, one could make a typo in the email address area and without that link sent to the inbox, one would not know that the email they used was wrongly spelt.

Didn't think of signing that address on artwork....would've worked but that was living on blockchain.info wallet which I've lost access to long while back. Could always send scan of ID as proof to show who I am as my name appears on post.

I'm not sure the success of the following. But @minerjones does an escrow for deals that contain concrete exchanges "hardware"[1]. If you can convince minerjones that you are the owner of the account, it will be a stronger proof than signing a message.

Best available option is to restore the account to the original email as determined by administration:

If your account was hacked

Email recoveries...@bitcointalk.org, ideally from the account's email address. Include your username and a brief description of the details of how/when the account was hacked. A signature will likely be required (see below).

If you forgot the password or similar

Try using the email password reset. Check that the email isn't ending up in your spam folder. If that doesn't work, email recoveries...@bitcointalk.org, ideally from the account's email address. Include your username. A signature will likely be required

You should solve the issue with the administaration, not try to get the attention here. Send details of the issue to the administration email and they will reply you.
