Although team has made tries to hire new star players such as Sanju Samson, thing is that Dhoni business presence could not be replaced and so his final quitting would be biggest money risk in league history.

Tail ender performed very well in this match because Jamie Overton made a score for a team , otherwise team could be out at before 100 . Jamie Overton made 43 runs in this match which was big margin to his team to do fight in this match but that was good pitch and  Rajasthan Royals cricket team looked in excellent form and they did great effort by making runs for his team. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played very excellent in this match and gave good start to his because he made 52 in just 17 balls and that player was totally dominant on opponent team. He played with strike rate of 305 which is exceptional in modern cricket and we saw very less players like him who always play to dominate opponent team .

Gujrat Titans' squad is strong. Especially their batting order is very strong. Almost every batsman in the squad is a T20 specialist. But even then they could not collect big today. Gujarat managed to collect 162 runs. No batsman in the squad could bat at a strike rate of 150+. The pitch does not seem bowling friendly to me. It will probably not be too difficult for Punjab to win the match. Punjab lost one wicket in 6 overs and managed to collect 55 runs. 108 runs are needed from 84 balls to win. An average of less than 10 is needed per over. This is not a difficult task in IPL.

Today PBKS's start was impressive with the ball, and now their batting is also making a good mark as they are having 50 runs in 5 overs. They lost the final in the last season, but today their start shows they are still good and have enough depth to make this season remarkable.

Kagiso Rabada's first over gave GT a breakthrough, but in the second over, he was punished and conceded 19 runs. PBKS's odds were @2, but now they are trading at @1.1, meaning now they are in total control of this game and have a good chance of starting their campaign with a win.

Now, on the other end, if we look at the progress of Muhammad Rizwan, he was also struggling in that match again because he hardly manages his strike rate in a good way and all just in the tensions of strike rate, he can't play his original game properly. Well, he needs more improvement, while if we talk about his captaincy, he has always been number 1.

I agree that this is bold try by the PCB to show PSL is good league that can hold its place, but I should point out that single point from yesterday rain hit game between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi was actually very important, as it let Zalmi jump into second place and United to take their first point of season.
I believe, although overlap splits fans, it will finally lead to better calendar for all league cricket. In all, you are right that Lahore rain out was huge hit for fans, especially after the ground workers did everything to try and save it.

In the last season, both teams were in the middle of the league table, while DC was looking better. The same situation is in the current season, and today DC decided to bowl first. This was a good decision by them because LSG, after the end of the powerplay, has 48 for 2.

With both big batsmen gone, the odds of both teams were good @1.90 but with quick wickets now DC is moving around @1.30 I was expecting some entertaining cricket, but after losing early wickets, now things are completely favourable for DC. Natarajan has a wicket in his first over, which makes things more problematic for LSG. Now they are 50 for 3 at the end of 7 overs, meaning now the host team is not having a good start to their campaign this season.

Delhi won the toss and decided to field  today. Their decision was probably right. Delhi bowlers got off to a great start. Every bowler in the squad bowled with control. LSG scored 141 runs in 18.3 overs and lost  9 wickets. Except Mitchell Marsh and Abdul Samad, no other batsman could stay at the crease for long. It will  not be too difficult for Delhi to win the match today. I have placed my bet in favour of Delhi today. Their batting order is very strong. So it shouldn't be difficult for the team to score 150/160.

I know it's early, but I see DC easily qualifying for the playoffs, but they would need to play like this consistently and break their crazy playoffs curse. Go DC!

The Lucknow Super batsmen have scored only 141 runs which is not a very strong target, they should have played together, their hard work could have turned into success. The Delhi Capital batsmen are now ready to play and they will easily victory this match because this target will not be very difficult for them and that is why their bowling was enough tough and they will succeed by playing with effort in a few overs.  Lucknow Super bowlers cannot be too tough because Delhi Capitals batsmen will also play with a lot of strength and will not go towards carelessness which is a big disappointment for Lucknow Super batsmen.
