Dinesh Karthik's captaincy has been unimpressive so far. Not only he is sticking with failed players, he is also sidelining performing players such as Lockie Ferguson. And the less talked about his batting, that much better. Today he made 4 runs from 14 balls. Earlier I was thinking that Kedar Jadhav was the slowest batsman in this IPL. Karthik is giving him tough competition.

You could not go long in cricket without supporting one another. Looking so sad KKR players were not supporting enough to compete other opponent. Today they defeated so badly, all credit goes to Mohammed Siraj. RCB management need to include him in the squad in the rest of the matches till Play-offs.

It depends upon the match and the pitch situation, i never expected Mohammed Siraj would bowl the spell of his life time as i have seen him taken for runs in the matches he played and in this match when he was hitting good pace and getting the seam movements i was astonished to be frank and if he could continue the same level of intensity then he will be a regular pick.

The Covid bubble can be a reason for their performance but the main reason i see is that their big players have not delivered, they still are not settled with the proper team combination and they only included Lockie Ferguson in the last match and he showed his class and helped the team win the match. If they can pick the best combination then they will perform as a team as they have the talents.

In this edition of the IPL, the younger Indian batsmen had a great start, irrespective of the franchises. But now it looks like they are having a meltdown. This is applicable for Shubman Gill/Rahul Tripathi/Nitish Rana of KKR, Prithvi Shaw/Shreyas Iyer of DC, Sanju Samson of RR, and Ishan Kishan/SuryaKumar Yadav of MI. I think the only one who is performing right now is Devdutt Padikkal of RCB.

Not sure about the new record but MI done similar kind of bounceback and entered into playoffs in the past and  for KXIP still it is pretty much possible and also they found their combination in the middle of the season so they still got 4 matches and need to win 3 out of the 4 to seal a spot in the top 4.Net run rate also will play of more teams got the same points.

Yeah, I am agreed with you that KXIP has lost more matches from the beginning. But their performance was not so bad. If they care of more on playing maybe they have won some of them. As I saw from Gayle was not playing the first few matches. I don't know why they have not listed Gayle in the top 11 for few matches without testing at least one match. After Gayle came to play KXIP has won 3 matches where Gayle's performance was Good enough. Let's see what happens.

RR could not capitalise even after picking Warner early in the inning . They had a good chance but the way Manish Pandey and Vijay batted chase became very easy and won it very comfortably by 8 wickets in end . RR today as well could not win the match batting first.
