Even in the super over the batsmen failed them. They did not even goal for the run to chase I think. 5 runs in a super over sounds really disappointing even where the last ball needed 11 runs.

I think Srilankan batsman should change their position to have a better performance. Like as I earlier mentioned, their top order is so worst. Middle order is not so good too. If they re organize the team, they may have a better output.

The team is inexperience for sure. We get the same impression from Lasith Malinga

We tried our best, but at the end of the day we didn't get what we need. But I'm still really happy with how we did. I think 130 is not enough to win a T20 game, but using two spinners did work. But at the end of the day we couldn't get through. I'm used to these situations and conditions. Now I'm getting too old! (Laughs). I tried my best to show the youngsters how it's done, bowling the variations. I tried the variations in the Super Over, but it didn't happen, Miller batted really well. I always believe people can do something special. I got four wickets in four balls once, so something is always possible."

8. Adam Gilchrist ( Used to bat at number 7)

The team just need to find the right horse and its just a matter of time for every team.

Hey I’ll agree a team should change it’s order if required for the team to be balanced, of the list you have mentioned I remember Sehwag was not a opener but when he got a chance he killed it. Also I remember Jayasuriya and Adam, when they were promoted as openers they set the game on fire. It’s also pertinent to note that current Indian captain Virat, and Ex Captain Dhoni have changed their position for the benefit of the team.

South Africa should learn from there last T20. The lower order did not perform well which was nearly costing them to lose the match. I hope today they will get an easy win. They are way better team then current Sri Lanka team.

Yes, the list is actually very long.

I am not a big fan when Virat change his position tbh. but for Dhoni its all good.

I intentionally didn't mention Sachin because he's in a  different class. and yes you are right about Sachin.

Women's T20? I personally have minimal interest here though I did watch them play earlier when my mom was watching the match and I observed many of these ladies dancing down the track against the spinners. They seem to love doing that.

Among the teams that you mentioned, I would root for Velocity even though they lost their key wicket.

I lost my bet yesterday. The team I picked they needed their opponent not to win by more than 25 runs margin. This was the equation for them to qualify. Unfortunately they exactly did that instead of playing cricket (winning the match).

I was like WTF! Why were not they playing shot while they could go for a win since they had wicket then in the screen I saw the calculation and realized my mistake.

Hilarious. Just checked and observed that Velocity could have easily won this one since they had plenty of wickets. Weird. It seems that both teams will be facing each other once again in the finals. I would bet on Velocity.

India contributes to more than 80% of the cricket viewership figures (if you add the expats as well) and if you take the TRP ratings for the entire tournament, then IPL will be far ahead of CWC 2019. On top of that the interest in 50 over matches is diminishing, as the younger fans are shifting towards the T20 format.

Doubt it. The IPL is easily the most popular cricket league in the world currently and even the World cup won't surpass it in terms of popularity. It makes sense since many people don't have the time to watch 100 overs of cricket when compared to just 40 overs. On top of this, IPL is way more entertaining in every aspect.

I would not support such a move too and I think they might go ahead with the match since its been sometime since the terrorist attack and India's surgical strike. The news reports also mentioned that tickets were sold out too which is why it will most likely go ahead as planned.
