Shoaib Malik reminds me of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Both are of the same age (38 years) and the fans in their respective countries are heavily polarized between those who argues for them to be allowed in the team, and those who want them to retire. But I can tell you one thing. Pakistan needs Malik now to stabilize their playing XI. The younger players are not performing that well.

I want to see India giving a good send off to Mahendra Singh Dhoni as he gave many memorable performances and i wanted Dhoni to be in the T20 World Cup team as he is the first World Cup winner.

If he performs well during the IPL 2020, then I guess the selectors will give him a chance. But he needs to counter the critics by scoring the runs at a good pace. During the CWC 2019, his strike rate was below what was expected from him, and that too during the final phases of the innings. Anyway, just two more months to go for the IPL. Towards the end Sheyas Iyer who's innings was due finally provided his point today by smashing the ball all round the park and making quick 58 runs in 29 balls and helped India to win the match by 6 wickets and 1 over to spare. He was named Man of the Match for his brilliant batting.

Sreyas Iyer is the future of Indian T20 squad. I won't be much surprised, if he becomes the captain after the end of Kohli/Rohit era. As of now, I regard him as the best among the younger players. India won comfortably, despite New Zealand managing a total of above 200. They should be disappointed. And it was not even a close match. India won with one over to spare, which is a big margin in T20 cricket. New Zealand bowling looked toothless, perhaps due to the absence of their strike bowlers (Trent Boult, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson.etc). These bowlers could have made some difference, but I have noticed that Boult usually performs poorly on flat tracks, such as the one we had at Eden Park.

The door is not entirely closed for the ex Indian Captain according to the coach of India, who says that if Ms Dhoni performs well in IPL he may be selected for the T20 World Cup. However even Ms Dhoni knows it now that he’s no longer required in the playing 11, and as harsh as it may sound it’s the reality and he’ll have to accept it. Things would have been different had KL Rahul not performed so well with the gloves, but he’s suddenly seeming the first choice as the Indian wicket keeper which further spells the end of Ms Dhoni’s international career.

The only person in your list that I felt sorry about was Ganguly. Sehwag was slow and so was Dravid on the field, the only exception for Dravid was that he also was a partime wicketkeeper. Both were non reliable batsmen. Creating records and not playing for the team was there biggest problem. If you change their batting order they would collapse. That was the biggest problem. Dhoni is far better than those.

The younger players are not so experienced when it comes to playing for their team. Rishab reminds me of how Virat was when he was new and played in T20s and ODIs earlier and now he has matured a lot. Dhoni is not slow on the field and is still reliable and is in good form so his inclusion in the WC is needed. For me, I don't find these younger players reliable enough.

I wouldn't say better, Sehwag was explosive opener in Test and Dhoni was good at middle order as Anchor and finisher in the limited overs cricket (not in Test). Everyone has their own strength and weakness and everyone fades out as time passes by or when they gets old, so changes are good that's how new blood gets into the picture. in the end selection should be based on merit and performance, no matter who play or not.

For argument, if someone creates All time World or Indian Test XI. Then Dhoni is not going to make out even in 30 or 15 men squad. In limited over cricket? Sure he can, easily and rightly so, his record speaks for him. On the other hand Sehwag is all time great opener in Test cricket history and there is a resaon Dravid's nick name is "The Wall"

I disagree completely and i am sure all these opinions will change after the IPL as i am betting on him to prove all the naysayers wrong. Age is against him but he is still the best Wicket Keeper batsman in the world in ODI and T20.

The young players are given more opportunity to perform and showcase what they are capable of when Dhoni decided to take an extended break and none showed any huge impact behind the wickets and the only good keeper i have seen is Wriddhiman Saha who is a really good wicket keeper and so is the reason he is in the Test team.

Pakistan is back in form in T20, when i saw the series against Sri Lanka they were completely lost which i thought would be fairly easy series for Pakistan but now Malik is back in the team where he earned the wrath of fans because of his bad performance and now he is back in the team and he performed in the first T20 to win the match. The bowlers were brilliant in this series and that was the difference between the last series and this.

Problem is people don't understand, when Dravid played, how important role he played, he had given role of anchoring the inning means just stay on wicket doesn't matter if runs not flowing too fast, because if wickets fall both end inning just collapse. Dravid is 1 of the best middle order batsmen we ever saw in Indian team by technique.

Pakistan might've won the series, but I think that none of the teams played good cricket. Bangladesh lost because they played worse. It seems like Haris Rauf can't do much in these Asian pitches; his performance in both the matches wasn't as good as his performances in Australia (which doesn't sound very bad as of yet because we've got a T20 world cup coming up soon in Australia). Moreover, Babar Azam told in the press conference today that they're going to try some new additions in the next (last) match of the series; it seems like PCB is forgetting that if they lose a single match, the team will get a decline in the ranking of T20s. It'll be bad to see a team that has been number one for years in T20 getting below.

I thought Pakistan have played well in the series as they have been able to restrict Bangladesh to low totals which Pakistan have been able to chase down easy. The problem for Bangladesh was that they got off to poor starts which can sometimes be hard to come back from but again that is credit to the Pakistan bowlers. Anyway lets see if Pakistan can clean sweep.
