"National" teams of UAE, Oman.etc doesn't contain any citizens from that country. That is not possible in other sports. As per FIFA regulations, only citizens can represent a national team. FIBA goes one step further and they have a clause which states that states that only one naturalized citizen can be included in the national team.

Edit: I have looked at it and yes I think I was wrong that citizenship isn't required in cricket necessarily. So my football example wasn't real valid since the rules are much more relaxed here. Still I think 3 years of residency is decent enough to represent a country.

according to me it looks like Hong Kong people aren't interested in cricket. That seems to be the prime reason why the team doesn't have an ethnic Han Chinese. Maybe that's the reason, people who migrated from India and Pakistan have formed the team and playing for Hong Kong.

Hong Kong native peoples never been interested in cricket, but 25 years back when they were under English administration they were enjoying cricket, so China never change this policy just because of this they are still playing and in last 25 years mostly they have players from these countries like India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka with few years back there were Australian and New Zealanders were also doing some stuff, but they are doing good job as they are coming in Asia Cup frequently after beating few teams like Nepal, Malaysia, UAE and Kuwait which mean they have quality for this game.

But here again most guilty party is ICC and ACC they never bring any policy for native players as they need to implement things like minimum four or five players could be native for every country hopefully this will bring any better idea, and we have Nepal at their best level with all native players but sadly never been good to face these countries which have all adopted players in their squads.

India and Pakistan will be playing at Dubai stadium tomorrow, unfortunately the advantage for the chasing team there is huge. 15 of the last 16 matches have been won by the chasing team. I think whoever wins the toss should be favorite to win the match.

Less than 100 individuals with South Asian origin have got the UAE citizenship till now and most of them are senior citizens who have lived there for 30-40 years. Same with Oman as well. Hong Kong also has very restrictive naturalization rules, but in rare cases they have granted citizenship to migrants from South Asia.

My guess is that Afghanistan will win today's match as well. In the first two matches, we saw that the Afghanistan players were in great form. Batting and bowling do not show their weaknesses anywhere. They have performed very well.

I have very rarely seen anyone from the Gulf cup being a part of the national team. Previously there were a few, such as Alawi Al Braik and Fahad Al Hashmi, but now for the last 3-4 years UAE national team hasn't included anyone from the "nationals" group.

Afghanistan set a target of 176 runs. But that doesn't seem like enough to me. There is no way to say that the pitch is bowling friendly. Afghanistan should have collected more than 190 today. In the last match as well, the Sri Lanka team won easily against Bangladesh by batting at a target of 184 runs.
Sri Lanka's two openers scored 57 runs in 6 overs. They haven't lost a wicket yet. Kushal Mendis is batting very well. He is still unbeaten with 36 runs off 18 balls. Afghanistan's bowlers have no chance of winning this match unless they pick up wickets very quickly.

Very interesting to watch. When Afghanistan batting got over it looked like a winning match for Afghanistan. Another fact, Afghanistan have scored 170+ runs in 21 matches and have won in every match. Sri Lanka started the innings in a very comfortable way and took the match on their side. Later few wicket fall changed the match and once again situations are getting close. We can't be sure of the match outcome. Anything can happen at the end.
