It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

@yefi. Agreed.

@tranthidung. I like the pump, however the price will always behave in compliance on how grin's monetary supply was designed to do. This will be a pumpers versus the miners scenario and the miners have unlimited supply.

The longer I read this thread the more I become convinced that people do not know what the words "By Design" mean and definitely do not DYOR and finally do not listen to those that do.

^. True.
But the thing is you see, no matter how much we analyze things, or no matter the design or whatever for that matter, this is Cryptlandia.
Gut feeling, manipulation, being lucky, being unlucky are all equally possible & real. You can't 'box in' everything.

32k sats and as far as pumps go I am finding this one a bit underwhelming.  Price momentum has stalled.

I took profits with the latest rally of Grin coin, and I have not had plans to enter the coin again in coming weeks. Maybe, I will try my luck by keeping patiently waiting for my chances to buy Grin coin around 10k satoshis. I could be wrong due to over-greedy waiting for so cheap price, but at least I won't lose my money if I don't invest in Grin coin. If the coin drops to 10k satoshis, it will recover from it, so I have safer investment.

Just looking at the inflation rate and bitcoin halvening approaching I think the price will easily go under 10k sats within three months.  Miners are just dumping, I don't know any miner that is holding GRIN hoping that it will increase in value.

Well, I can explain.... I don't believe in scary stories about big inflation, since in first 4 years it is same like almost any other POW coin (percentage-wise).
And I except FOMO much earlier than yr 2023, probably in 2020 already.

FOMO will happen in 2021. 2023 is way to late. That is almost a year to another halving.  If unlucky Grin can bottom only in bear market after the next FOMO. So in 2022 or 2023. But that is the latest point unless some thing happens with development. I am of course talking about Grins BTC price. And this is pessimistic prediction.  Or maybe not so pessimistic, but realistic. We can see ZCash price with lower emission is decreasing for two years and a half.

@Texacha. No one is telling you to believe. However, the monetary policy of grin is to have more than 10% inflation for 10 years and more than 5% of inflation for 25 years.

The only way to use grin today as a miner is to sell it because no one is accepting it for payment and the price is falling. Holding is a bad decision.

Hoarding is a huge centralization pressure, and grin emission policy hopes to mitigate this.

The idea is to use grin like you use your bicycle, to get you around and make you more efficient, not to store in your garage hoping its value goes up.

I am very well aware of GRIN emission and inflation.  Wink
You sell, I hold and after 2 years from today - we will see where we are. I expect FOMO for that "bicycles".

Ok. However, what the other miners are doing is selling to hold bitcoin for selling later to get more profit and use it to expand their mining operation. This would increase difficulty that would make your miner earn less.

True, everyone knows BTC will get back to its ATH before Grin stops flooding the market so we all know their is no use in tying up an asset that will appreciate for one that is depreciated by design.
