Implant microchip- Bitcoin wallet?

As cool as it sounds, I don't want to implant such thing on my body. Using hardware wallet is safe enough for me, and I wonder why we should use something like that. Won't we have more risk of being kidnapped/hacked when we use that chip?

Exactly also my point. This can be a big reason for bad guys to get into you and even kill you just to get the wallet implanted within your body. personally, in the face of the burgeoning invasion of privacy, we don't want our very own body invaded by anything like this no matter how exciting the concept can be. We should always say no to anything that can possibly harm us in the future and we don't know much the safety of this kind of technology. Better err on the side of caution than regret later for non-sense ground.

Hello all!
I have just heard about microchip in a hand which you can use for Bitcoin payments.
Have you heard about it? Do you know where to order?
I have heard that it is classic microchip for dogs/cats but you have to modify it, but how?

This discussions have been going on for years and I don't know if someone has successfully implemented it. I'm not sure about it though, you can call me conservative by I'm not willing to have my body implanted with microchip.

I'm sure there could be a more convenient alternatives to this, perhaps a simple wallet in your phone is enough to make transactions.

I think it is a result of modern technological advancements but we need to consider twice whether we really need to implant a chip into our natural body in order to make payments and do we really need to go that far because payments through bitcoin wallets are not that difficult and we already have effective devices with better portability so implanting a chip can be very convenient but it can be achieve buy using existing devices with less risk involvement

It may sound cool but I'm not going to let myself have it.

I'm fine to have my wallet on my phone or hardware wallet. It's more convenient to have it implanted but I have my own reason not to do this, wallet app is already enough for me.

Wow. I've never heard this before. Anyway, the idea of implanting microchip is quite unique and amazing but i will never ever try and do it. Seems that you were really interested buying one of it and i quickly browse my google if there is really available.  And i discovered it already been available since 2014!

Oh man, it was really amazing! No reports of any body complications and still can be used as a payment by just waving a hand since that microchip from the link i was provided was implanted between index and thumb finger.

You said we already have a effective device with better portability so why we still need this micro chips ?  just because they are more smaller ?  Yes they maybe but like everyone said , installing it inside our body do always have a side effect and it will not occur on early stages but you will feel it soon   but this chips are not created for portability or for being convinient but these chips are invented because they want crypto users to be more safe  . you will not risk you wallet in loosing or being stole but you are now going to be risking your health

that doesn't make sense to do because this technology is currently very new so obviously it needs to first be perfected over time so the the "bugs" like side effects of implanting it inside your body (under you skin) is removed and then people to start doing it. but it will happen eventually. for the time being using other things is best unless you are one of those people who always seek out the latest technologies and wants to get on board.

I'd be more concerned with the security though, is it easy to hack? Is it actually a hardware wallet or it's just for ease of transaction, like scanning a barcode?

I did this three years ago. I have the Dangerous Things chip with 886 bytes of user read/write memory. I implanted it myself, using sensible precautions and had no infection or migration problems. I could, I guess, have a private key on it, but that would involve putting my key on my phone - maybe you could air gap an arduino with NFC...A recent earlobe piercing caused way more problems, and I think hurt a lot more.

I did it as soon as I heard it was a thing and bought a kit on the internet - at the time the dangerous things one was about more (shipping was crazy outside the USA) and I paid $99. A surgeon friend has looked at it since, and said its very much like the under skin contraceptive implant - and could easily be removed. I've had a CT and an xray on that hand as a result of a completely unrelated accident and no problems. It sits on just under the skin on the fat pad between the thumb and index finger. I've used it to unlock my phone, direct people to my website, and now its got my bitcoin address on it. Its more of a novelty than anything but its pretty cool imho. I was at a class where having a chip in your hand in the future came up and I was able to show off, lol.
I'd love to be able to pay for small items just by scanning my hand.

I have never heard this kind, but I do heard about key cards implanting, lately  there are thousands of people from Sweden who engage on putting microchips to their wrist. It bugs me though, if people wants to steal on you or want to trespass into your house, they will need to cut your arms if you don't go with what they want, scary right? It would be worst if it is money that we are talking about, if someone bad knew you are carrying lots of Bitcoin in your body, where would that end? If the case is you can send bitcoin to other wallet just scanning their QR code, a lot scarier.

that is the problem with technologies such as this one, you are facing adoption issues and in this particular case you are facing two different adoption issues. first you have to wait for bitcoin adoption to grow, so far although it has grown at a good rate but still you can't find that many physical shops in real world that accept bitcoin. then you have to wait for these shops to install devices that can read that chip so you can actually use that!

I like this innovation, I no majority will not like this technology but this will give us variety of options to choose when thinking of a safe and easiest way of storing our bitcoin.
