Seek help. That's all I can say. And I mean professional help. Treat it like a clinical condition, not a psychological one. I don't have an addiction (or I do, but I have limits to what I lose) so I don't know how it feels even if I do my best to understand.

We can all offer words but we're not professional people who treat this addiction.

All I can say also is, surround yourself with friends who don't gamble. Just try not to be tempted.

I don't really have experience with gambling but I do know a lot of stories about it.

My friends usually tell me stories about his experiences about it and it is really awful. The first time he realized that he is addicted to gambling is the time that he lost a lot of money and even his family. Getting addicted to something is really hard, he said to me. He is also addicted to drugs and liquor at that time, what a way to waste my life he told me. I just answer him that it is not late, he still has time to change.

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  

If you are in a lossing streak then that's the time you should refrain from doing gambling. Don't be too full of yourself that you are going to win even if luck is not on your side. That's addiction if you continue to gamble even in a lossing streak.

Always put in mind that gambling is not just an easy way to have profit and of course don't rely on this kind of money earning. The hardest part is what just like OP said eating your brain and money, that is the worst thing ever happen if you can't control your self in gambling.
If you are losing a small amount on gambling on that day you can stop instead of chasing on it, that what we called greediness.

Hey this is a sad story op and I really liked the fact despite the loss you’re able to stay strong, I’m positive with this attitude you’ll be able to earn back your money soon. I feel it’s harsh to say but you need to understand the basic guidelines of gambling, never play with the money you can’t afford to loose. Also lastly keep your greed in check, and you’ll not suffer losses like this.

We are in a lucky situation wherein we already realized that we are slowly being eaten by gambling and our greediness to win a lot of money out of it. In the past, I am also so close to being addicted to gambling though don't get me wrong, I already lost a lot of money and I quickly realize that I need to stop. I am not that addicted but it is still hard to stop. I needed the help of my family especially my wife, I want to stop because of them since they are also the reason why I want to earn the money.

The worst is when you want to recover your losses. When you are in a bad luck and are not having fun anymore, just give it a break. Withdrawal your money, accept your loss and come back some other day to have more fun.

Well, in most cases the people behave opposite to this. When they lose a game in gambling, they eagerly wanted to cover the loss. So they bring more money in gambling with the hope that this time they will win and their loses will be recovered, but then again it does not happen and they again lose. If this happens repeatedly, one can lose a big amount of money in gambling.

Yeah, I know people behave opposite to this. I did the opposite as well, and learned the hard way.

It is possible to make money through gambling. It's hard, but possible. But for me it's just for fun now

This is the most common thing that would happen to a gambler once they don't know what to do after losing game, they think it would still fine to continue so that you could take back your loses but the truth is that you wouldn't get it back the more you play the more you will lose. Except for professional gamblers who know how to play their profit and know how to control.

Haha your practice is really good to be a gambler. Most of the gamblers does not care about the price, amount they have or anything. They simply close their eyes and gamble somewhere. Next about age also they don't mind if they are teenager and above they will be having some maturity while they are invesing on gambling site.
I do gamble on betting site since I know the game which i choose to make money out of it.

Young minds or not mature enough do really have that high chance on experiencing problems towards addiction and fund management problem.Emotion can really affect anyone
specially when you are just new into gambling on where you do experience such pressure and making foolish decisions which you would regret later on.
You realize your mistake when you lose money and it depends if you do take it seriously and move on or would still decide to remain and be addicted.

Money is not the problem, but if it's going to eat your mind then you need to stop because it will bring you more harm in the future.

Just stay positive, as I have said, it's only money. You can earn it, but you need to control your self or be responsible if you want to continue to gamble.

I've been in situation like this, much worst like this. But I'm glad that I was able to snap back in time and realized what's happening on my life that's why I learn to control myself and not playing all my money as f it's the end of the world and there's no more tomorrow.

Gambling could be really dangerous under the wrong hands. There are little kids losing tons of money everyday illegally gambling acting as if they are adults. There are adults who go into this so much that they take out bank loans to bet again and again with the hopes of finally hitting that big win and paying their debts back.

I really do not think gambling is for every person. There are people like me who do not exceed the amount they tailored for their fun, me personally I tried betting on 100 dollars on each deposit and it was too much, I tried 10 dollars and it wasn't enough, now I do about 25-50 depending on the game and it is seriously fun and I always stop whenever my money ends. That Is the hard part for many many people, stopping when you run out of money to gamble.

Good for you, if you able to bounce back after the hard fall being so engaged with gambling then you can say that controlling your emotions will be the driver on how to react with this type of entertainment activities, being self driven and always remembering that mistake can be avoided to happen again when you are already comes from the dip.

Work out as early as you can, acknowledging the bad effects of gambling will help you to avoid too much

Chasing loss? I can tell you are definitely feeling very tilted right now. You should have resisted the urge to gamble because it's the greed you are fighting with. It is really hard to deal with greed because it will attack your emotions and will make your brain and money be hideous. You'll only feel the urge to win or comeback, ain't know which you are preferred for.

Gambling is a very risky venture and it is not good one should go into it without adequate knowledge on how to do it properly.  You have to know that you can lose everything and we can still make money from the market also and the money you make is loses from others gamblers.

The problem is when you find yourself losing money at the beginning, you'll say it's not a problem, maybe I'm not so lucky right now and the next game I'll win it, and suddenly it happens again and you lose and then again losing money etc.. It's as you said losing streak! and finally you end up broken financially!
To save yourself from this, you should take a hard decision to stop when you feel that is your not lucky day! you shouldn't risk so much when you feel that you are not okay! gamblers should think carefully before any act they'll do with gambling.

OP was probably playing dice. You can get a losing streak there very easily and chasing your dice loss is the worst thing you can do. If it was poker or blackjack you still have a chance but dice is a wallet killer if you can't control yourself. On the positive side 3000 dollars is not much for a life changing experience. I hope you will know better and don't allow yourself to lose this much again.

In most cases if you are trying to regain your loses you will end up losing more and not just only in gambling but the same thing happened in trading crypto currency and Forex. All this happened because many gamblers and traders don't have or follow their money management policy because they are too emotional about loosing their money.
