What happened: bitcoin-laundry.com will STEAL YOUR LARGE AMOUNT DEPOSIT!!!

I searched for "bitcoin mixer" on Google and found this website.

I created a session and got a deposit address, which is 3Fz3JW1RiNTYuSs8kwLGDZExPK7WgR2CTW, and the session is https://bitcoin-laundry.com/session/fe236e1d5b07f5ac7adf32901a5ee4d39e4b5bfa179775da8678c32b77250603. Here is the screenshot in case the session expires: https://imgur.com/CDLXiif

After I sent coins to the provided address, I refreshed the page, and the deposit address surprisedly changed to another one 359cX3M8L8gb3X1SGPVdQH3EeJvQ5cCiuS, while the page still shows "Waiting for Bitcoin".

This is the transaction of my deposit: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/d1b4919df80249136388b0e17d106c5d51ae7f7075223f5f973e4dc5749d7be0

I contacted the support and got the reply: https://imgur.com/a/veO5SF5

Quote
Bitcoin Laundry <bitcoin-laundry@protonmail.com>
to me

Dear customer,

we checked the addresses with our address pool. The address 359cX3M8L8gb3X1SGPVdQH3EeJvQ5cCiuS, which is shown in the mix session is one of ours, but the address 3Fz3JW1RiNTYuSs8kwLGDZExPK7WgR2CTW is not. Are you sure you got it from our site? Also, are you sure you were on the correct domain? There are fake sites copying bitcoin-laundry who are phishing people visiting these sites.

Best regards
Bitcoin-Laundry supporrt

This is the only reply I've got, they just stopped replying to any further questions afterwards. It's quite irony that they as scammers themselves are accusing other scammers of theft.

Then I tried a small amount deposit, and everything just goes well as in session https://bitcoin-laundry.com/session/be7ef11ea480bb61a4620e816537327bba8a4e6debac06f7d389fc22651db2c4 (screenshot https://imgur.com/ksZlBBW).

And I'm not alone, this user on bitcointalk has encountered the same situation:

I have used this a bunch in the past. Usually 2 or 3 coins per mix. It was reliable. I guess, when a large TX comes through, they rip.

I am a fucking idiot I guess. I have no leg to stand on, you are right.

Support stopped replying.

Also this one:

I just had the same problem. I sent a deposit and address in my session ID has changed.

With all these evidence, it is safe to conclude that this site is SCAM for sure.
They attract users by low fee and work well for small deposit, but once you deposit a large amount of bitcoins, they just keep your coins and manipulate the deposit address to cheat you.

They don’t offer a Latter of Guarantee, so there is no way we can say 100% for sure that the first address is theirs. So, I assume you are 100% that the first address (3Fz3...) came from their website, right? Did you double check the address you copy/pasted when sending the transaction?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that the address I use is exactly the same address shown on the page.
I scanned the qrcode when sending the transaction, and I double checked the address in the qrcode.
The address in the qrcode and the address on the website is exactly the same.

The deposit UTXO has been spend after 27 confirmations. That indicates that they do have the private key of the address.

It is unfortunate how such services can get money by offering low fees for short periods ?, This has been repeated with more than one mixer "low fees + some random reviews."
Also, I do not know how you trust that site and send over 12BTC despite. "the lack of positive ratings, Latter of Guarantee, fixed confirmations number.

Sorry for your loss. & thanks for sharing.

Damn!!! If you could have only screenshotted the page with the first wallet address they have provided you will have compelling evidence that the wallet address is theirs. Without you having any kind of proof that the first address is theirs you cannot really expect them to take any action as they know no one would believe your story except for your fellow victims. It seems like the low fees are what making their service attractive to anyone and they are just picking some of their customers' large transactions as their next target based on what others have stated. Kudos to you on warning us about their scheme and I am also sorry for your loss.

I'm bumping this thread to give more exposure to this allegation, and post a link to the flag I created.  In his service thread the accused scammer has diverted responsibility of the alleged victims' claims, suggesting a phishing site is to blame.

Thanks for bringing this up. Tagged and Flag supported. They are also going to make it to the BITCOIN MIXER SCAM/CLONE WEBSITES that i made so that people proceed with extreme caution when dealing with them.

DO NOT USE BITCOIN LAUNDRY!! I took a screenshot of before and after my transaction.
BITCOIN LAUNDRY IS A SCAM! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!
I watched the confirmations and as soon my transaction hit one confirmation, BAMN they changed the receiving address!!
I've messaged their support several times with no response whatsoever.

Before the transaction had one confirmation here's what the session looked like:
https://i.imgur.com/EbUUgSP.png

After the transaction got one confirmation, the address changed! Look here:
https://i.imgur.com/AmeDuNM.png

Exact Same session ID and as soon as the transaction had one confirmation, they changed the deposit address.

This serves as a reminder that one should always take an extra step to do some research about a service before using it. The warnings have been there for almost a year now.
It's sad that you got scammed mate  Cry

Hello Everyone,
Bitcoin-Landry.com totally scam they accept to send you the small amount after that they block the big amount
After when you sent the big amount the session ID change automatically
So you will never see the exact session ID because it’s a scam website
Scam scam scam
last week we did 0.1 they acceptable to send it but they stole 6.2btc
The owner of website they speak as a Robot
- we send a lot of email
They answer after three days because the session ID is only for three days after that they say such an ID is not correct
here is what they answer:
———
Every mix that gets started gets a session ID. Our system can't function without one. That's why you also got a session ID. We urge every customer to keep that session ID till the funds are paid out. This is mentioned numerous times on our website.
We can't pull any details about your transactions without the session IDs. The wallet addresses you mentioned are not part of our address pool. So we can't help you unless you give us the session IDs for the transactions.
Sincerely,
Bitcoin-Laundry Support Team
———
we'd like to help you with the situation but we can't get any details about the transactions without the session IDs.
Please understand that it is not due to unwillingness but due to the technical restraints that we can't retrieve any information without the session IDs.
Sincerely,
Bitcoin-Laundry Support Team
———-
we appreciate your communication but we can't reply in the same frequency. So please be patient.
The session ID you provided doesn't bring up any data. Like you can read in the FAQs on our website all data from every session gets deleted after 7 days automatically. We assume that the session never existed or it is older than 7 days or you deleted it manually which is a feature we offer.
After checking again we verified that the addresses you mentioned are not in our pool. When the session is older than 7 days we can't get any data and so we can't investigate the case further.
Please make sure that you really visited our website (bitcoin-laundry.com or btcdryi67te57itq.onion). You might also want to check if your system is compromised.
Sincerely,
Bitcoin-Laundry Support Team
————
in our support form we ask for the Session ID and also in our first response to you, we already asked for it, but you only provided the ID today. We do not know if the ID you provided ever existed, but if you waited so long to provide it, we cannot help here.
Sincerely,
Bitcoin-Laundry Support Team
——-
*******
So everyone you see the answer but never sent any bitcoin to this website!!!!!!!!!
We already open a case against the owner of the website by the police federal
And also we ask the open investigation by Interpol against this website
If someone know any information about the owner or contact please provide here

Hello, I was being scammed the same way on the 3rd of June, 2020. Before this day, I used the same website (Bitcoin-laundry.com) to mix small coins and everything went smoothly. On this unfortunate day, I opened the website and followed the instructions promptly. This was the session ID (Your session ID: zv13D1X21321blUIQ8Lj7cOY) was created and the Bitcoin address to send coins was bc1qnxdemxtgdvrc0250ef3mk2zxx9u5ntk550j6ll. I sent 2BTC to this address and I was waiting for the first confirmation on the Blockchain. The transaction got first confirmation and I went back to the Bitcoin-laundry.com website and I saw on the screen that the receiving Bitcoin address was different from the first Bitcoin Address that was provided. This is the second Bitcoin Address (bc1qcy4886fz4ysl889tq2qnm03yn996ahpt9s08x6) that was provided on the website after I sent 2BTC.

Immediately, I wrote to support to lodge my complaint and they replied with this message:

Greetings!
We have checked your session ID and we can't see a deposit of funds to this session yet. Please check again the outgoing transactions in your wallet.

They later transferred the coins to this address 32C7r68HZvgti8hocPYcu46nofUGjYHEvH after 4-5 days.

I want to know this, has anyone that was scammed using this website got back his coins? If yes, please let me know the steps to take. I have searched for their support team on twitter but it does not have an account with twitter or Instagram. It has support team on Facebook but is not functioning. This is the facebook link = https://web.facebook.com/Bitcoin-Laundry-and-Dry-Clean-Services-275175819344449/

I have not recovered from this loss because it was only the coins I have left to myself.

I will appreciate helps and comments from people.

Thanks

Many other mixers/investing platforms/exchanges are using the same way to scam their users, that is why sending a small amount and see if it works before sending bigger amounts of funds in not a very good way of testing if the website is legitimate and it's not going to keep your funds for themselves.

Also more importantly don't search for whatever you're looking for on Google and click on any website that comes up on the first page and start depositing funds there, it's not like Google is going to do background check on them before showing their website address in the search results, as far as I know only obvious illegal websites or contents with copyright issues will be excluded from the search results.

There are a lot of good mixers in this forum that are proved to be working fine and the fact that they got ANN thread on here shows they are transparent with their activity and way more trusted, you can checkout their threads and read members review there and choose one of them instead of randomly using any website that you find on internet.
