Just a quick heads up -- FortuneJack is massively ripping off their affiliates and has been rogued by Affiliate Guard Dog.

They pulled a classic "bait and switch," promising one thing and then reneging a few months later. This was done out of pure greed, or because the company is having financial difficulties.

If the latter is the case, player funds may be in jeopardy, and winnings could start going unpaid. Either case (greed or money problems) is a huge red flag, and players would be wise to avoid playing at FortuneJack.

Affiliate Guard Dog took the first step by moving them to the rogue area. The first post in the thread there is not by me; it's by the owner of AGD (I do not own AGD). Also scroll down to post #3 in the thread at AGD and you will see someone else (user name NDG) who is getting stiffed by them.

I have to admit that it happens in my affiliate account as well, my commission percentage was reduced to 10% from 25% not long time ago. Indeed, I have only few active referrals (1-2 only). Since the new affiliate program launched, I earned around 0.04btc and cashed it out long time ago. Now I feel that it will be harder for me to earn from the affiliate program. I still have 0.0095btc there, and maybe it will stuck forever as it will be hard to reach the minimum withdraw now. I cant blame them though, as it is their own right to change everything based on the traffic we make from the affiliate program.

If they do apply that 10% on new affiliate under the new T&C then it would be considerable but they do change it entirely including to those who arent under on the new terms which is really shady.

I cant blame them though, as it is their own right to change everything based on the traffic we make from the affiliate program.

I disagree with you in this : let's assume you invested time and resources/money to bring them hundreds of players because they had a very attractive percentage; then they decide to decrease the percentage to pay you or even to end this referral program.
The players you referred most likely will keep on playing there and the site will keep on earning from their traffic and you will be cut off even if it's you who brought them those earnings in acertain way.

It would be fair from them to say : " from now on the percentage on your affiliate will be reduced to xx% " but they should maintain untouched the one they advertised originally because that was the agreement on which it was born and the agreement had taken hold.

Wow, this sounds serious, since Fortunejack is a very respected casino. Okay, it seems that they've reduced the percentage of the rewards in their affiliate program. Their terms and conditions section is big and full of other subsections, so I didn't manage to find neither the proofs not the disclaimer about their right to change the terms without notification and whenever they want. I am pretty sure, though, that the latter is somewhere there which would mean that technically they had the full right of changing the reward fees. If they really did it, though, it seems like a nasty action. I hope their representative will reply in this thread and clarify this point.

Exactly right.

They can change the rate on "new" players referred after some announced future date -- giving a heads up to affiliates that such a change is coming, so they can decide whether to continue promoting them under the new plan.  But lowering the rate on players referred before that date is not acceptable. This is flat out theft -- very unfair, very unethical.

There's definitley nothing wrong with changing or lowering commission percentage, but the thing is, first of all at the start of their affiliate program they should point out that the commission rate is not fixed and can/will be changed, and even after that every participant should be notified about every single change in this rate by whatever medium they use for communicating with their users.
I really don't know what happened to this case but as I read their terms and conditions they stated in Miscellaneous and other significant terms that "FortuneJack reserves the right to amend, cancel, reclaim, or refuse any promotion at our discretion." so technically they can change the rules whenever they want.

They must abide the rules to their affiliates before creating a new one.

So I dont see anything coming out of it if they decide to fight them for their affiliation payments.

Yeah, so they didn't break any rules or made any mistake then, the participants in their affiliate programs should've read the rules before applying, unless they added that part recently...

I know that many users may find this unfair even tough it was stated in the rules, but this is really how it works, when these websites start their programs before being known they have the best rates in almost everything but gradually they decrease or even remove some of their futures that attracted most of their users in the first place, it's not something happening only in betting websites, almost every business works like that when it comes to marketing.

Even if your terms and conditions say one thing, it still doesn't mean that you can retroactively change them. If you were supposed to be paid one thing, and then months later (when your due to get your affiliate payment) the terms are changed and you're told your being paid less, then that's a scam.

The correct thing to do, would be to say we're paying x terms until month end and then phasing in this new program. If you'd like to stay then stay, and if not alright. That would still leave a bad taste in the mouth of affiliate programs, though it would be fair enough to them to not waste their time if it's not financially worth it anymore.

As a complete side note: most terms and conditions don't hold up in court, as they typically violate local law. Hopefully DT comes here and checks this all out.

EDIT:
Quoting below what is alleged occured from FortuneJack.

In January 2019, FortuneJack forced unfair, retroactive terms and conditions onto their affiliate marketing partners in a very sneaky way. They tried to paint it in a positive light, with a subject line that read, "Become a Member of Club40!" Sounds cool, right?

Wrong. The devil is in the details, and after taking a close look at the fine print, it's clear that "Club40" is nothing but a big, greasy turd.

Under the original terms and conditions, an affiliate of FortuneJack would earn at least 25% from their referred players. This was a fair deal -- pretty standard in the industry for a starting rate.

With Club40 -- which seemed like a choice, but was actually the name of their mandatory new commission structure -- most affiliates will earn only 10% on their referred players.

But it gets worse. This extremely low rate isn't just for any new players sent after Club40 went into effect. It applies to all players ever sent, including those referred under the previous T&Cs where the affiliate was supposed to earn at least 25% for the life of the player.

This is a classic bait and switch, and certainly not the way an ethical, professional company should behave. This is why we have rogued them here, and this is why FortuneJack is rogue at Affiliate Guard Dog as well.

In addition to the above, FortuneJack is refusing to pay commissions to their affiliates. You can read about them refusing to pay at least one affiliate in the thread above (in post #3).

Making one-sided retroactive changes to a contract is never acceptable, and refusing to pay what they owe is a big red flag.

Avoid FortuneJack at all costs.

Even if your terms and conditions say one thing, it still doesn't mean that you can retroactively change them. If you were supposed to be paid one thing, and then months later (when your due to get your affiliate payment) the terms are changed and you're told your being paid less, then that's a scam.
FortuneJack was my first experience with online gambling a long ago and I would never expect something like this from them.
I know they can change the T&C at any time they want but indeed they should have made an announcement way before the change be applied so people could be aware of it instead of hide it from people for so long. Also I am not totally against the referrals decrease as most all casinos are offering 10% as a normal commission (with the possibility to increase it when you have many referrals) but they should at least decrease by a lot their minimum withdraw to make it still worth for those that have been with them since the start and helped them to build the site they have now

I disagree with you here. Saying one thing and doing something else entirely is frowned upon in any sort of business(crypto or non-crypto) which is a bad way to run a business.

Information is key here. The rules and conditions should be clear from the start making it fair for everyone, but FortuneJack clearly messed that up now which is why they need to sort this out asap if they wish to retain a big portion of their old users.

It does not really matter whether it is crypto or not,,, casino or not,,, the fact is people do not like being told one thing and then done another. You simply cannot survive in the business world if you keep saying A but do B.

People are actually very forgiving especially this crypto community because we all know how difficult life can be to do a business in a bear market but perhaps the right way to do it is, be open with your community. Tell them your issues and try to agree to something. I bet you, people will be much less critical and in fact applaud you for it.

Times have changed, i am sure they had their own issues for changing some of the Terms of use on their side.

Anyway i see you're advertising your own site. Are you going to post some positive feedbacks or just some negative news?

If positive could you do some for both Primedice and Stake? As they are the best Casinos out there.

Here is one more: Fortune jack is a proven scam! Proof: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5116404.0

Some members are heavily promoting FJ. I have asked them to stop that but seems like they care only about the money they get.

Here are the links for some of the paid FJ casino fans:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112493
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=153656
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=881377

Let's make them remove the signature promoting this scam.

I have noticed that you have given me a negative trust as well as Hhampuz and TheNewAnon135246. You are claiming that you have asked us to stop promoting FJ and that is not true. You have never approached me with anything. You have never asked me anything and neither have you asked TheNewAnon135246.

You haven't asked anyone to remove their signature. Instead you left negative feedback based on an accusation.

As FJ said, their game provider canceled the bet and they are waiting for their response. You are jumping to conclusions. Also, I would appreciate it if you posted from your main account.

FJ has already told you in their post that the game provider has cancelled the bet and that an investigation is under way. So you have tagged 3 users based on an accusation, it has not been proven yet! You will notice that I haven't tagged you yet. So do the right thing and remove your tag because your claim is false until proven otherwise! If your accusation turns out to be true those who promote FJ will either remove their sigs on their own or they will be asked to do so by DTs or staff.
