Jussie Smollett, the man who had said that two racist Donald Trump supporters had attacked him, and attempted to lynch him while stating 'this is maga country. This story was found out to be false.

Chicago PD is now looking at prosecuting the actor for falsifying police reports and lying to police.

Personally, I'm surprised to see the Chicago PD go after someone for this, though I am happy to see it.

He also violated federal law by using the USPS to send himself a death threat. Whoops. That might be one that hurts him the most.

What do I think? I think he should be punished in the same way that a woman who falsely cries rape should be punished.  People have whipped themselves into a frenzy - that Trump is ok with rape and so much else. (No. Trump said rich men are surrounded by groupies who LET you put your fingers in their pussy in order to be next to you. Is that crass? Yeah. But he say it in a locker room conversation.)

What do I think? Yeah. What had me shaking my head at the beginning was the fact that people recognized that he was an actor on Empire. Now if this was a pleasant Spring day, then sure, that wouldn't have caught my attention. But it was -10 degrees on a Chicago night and, for those that don't know, Chicago is known for it's biting wind. Everyone has on hats, and hoodies, and balaclavas. They are hunched over and walking quickly to get to where they are going. No one is going look up, no one is going to recognize him with a hat on and hunched over.

And this has nothing to do with all the other sillinesses and inconsistencies in his story.

Not this time. Too many people want his head. I have been looking into this case and some high level people are possibly involved. Additionally he could still be brought up on federal terrorism charges very easily. If he is not brought up on those charges he most definitely did turn states evidence.

Exactly, he has the intelligence and malleability of a brain dead person making him the perfect political puppet to take huge personal risks to sell this narrative. Lets not forget that Kamala Harris introduced her "anti-lynching" bill the week that this happened. There are also people suggesting that Harris and Smollett are related, among other shady activities and personalities involved. I would speculate that they probably have some form of documentation to back up the complicity of these other higher level individuals along with any states evidence testimony he has/will give. Besides the local charges, just based on the charges of terrorist threats alone he could go away for a VERY long time. That kind of time has a way of making people very cooperative.
