Betting with low risk and low prices will only waste time in my opinion, but if you are someone who has high patience it will definitely be fine. If you play with low risk, it is better to play at a high price, so the profit to be gained will definitely be good for changing the next strategy. For slots, I usually go for max bet, I don't know I believed that high risk, high reward in slots. For dice, it a mix bet for me, for roulette, equal bet for my choice numbers, baccarat, more big bet as well, sometimes reverse martingale (max 3 games).

As far as human being is involved, it difficult and only few people have this mindset, secondly it also depends on money used for betting and being one too. Imaging betting a 100 usd and wining 110 usd in return is that enough reasonable amount of money for you stop betting when you are fully aware that same amount of money can give you a million dollars if luck shines on you.

As per money management principles (if you are following it even for your gambling beyond trading and investments), you must always stick within same level of bet because if you win 10 times in small bets and you may lose all the profits in one single bet if you keep on increasing your bet. Sticking with same level of bet amounts is always eliminating excess risk levels. If you are about to gamble along with calculated risk then you should not mix bets while you are gambling.

Well for me, the best is to bet high risk with full jackpot, you have to on each roll bet your entire bankroll.
One of the advantages of this is that the return is so fast just like when you leverage high on trading but the negative side of this is that you are out of money and game once you lose.
