I'm using my desktop for trading when i'm at home and smartphone when i'm outside. I don't use VPN when trading except to open "those" website. For me, It doesn't matter what's your pc brand. At least get a pc with 4GB memory for your convenience.
I do use a 4gb memory laptop before which was quite very convenient and does not lag but I had to upgrade to the 8gb ram with a higher processor when I started playing high graphic games with it and also mining some of these small altcoins that can still be mined on system even though it still doesn’t get me the result I expect. So if it’s strictly for trading alone.

I think the 4gb ram laptop is very ok as you said. Well, I use vpn and I use express vpn when I am on exchanges that are decentralized to avoid unnecessary vulnerabilities
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I am thinking to buy a new computer. Fun. Wondering what you guys use?

Any special computer or just any ol' machine will do?! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do you have a VPN or a personal Hotspot?

What Virus Protection do you use?  How about... Mac Afee?

Mac or a DELL?Huh Cool Cool

Just ordinary well-operating laptop,nothing special.
Any laptop can do the trading of course, it will just depend on what you want.
I honestly don’t want to use laptop since its too heavy and I always travel so I just invest on a good phone which I found contentment. You can also use tablet which is more light weight compare to laptops.

Well, it depends on your trading system. If you are an active trader and trading on small tf, you'd better buy a more specialized computer. If you are not that kind of person, laptop should be enough to do everything.

I often use Laptop for my trading which is still the best but I sometimes use my Iphone/Ipad on the go when I don’t have access to my laptop and when I don’t put my stop loss tool in place.

I also connect my desktop too sometimes to my 55 inches screen when I feel like having a wider screen but all these are just extra personal things and not all necessary, the most important of it all is to have your laptop or mobile phone coupled with your skills of technical and fundamental analysis.

Trading can be done on tablets and on cell phones also but I will recommend using laptop. One of the reason is that laptop has a big screen and it can better help you. Secondly I think all the features are not available on mobile versions of exchanges as compare to laptop/desktop.

Mobile / Cell phones can be used to view only the prices and for placing the orders, I only use my laptop.

Of course, laptop is very convenient for me. Never trade using my Iphone/Ipad though, I'm prone to making mistakes that's why I don't want to sacrifice anything.

I also connect my desktop too sometimes to my 55 inches screen when I feel like having a wider screen but all these are just extra personal things and not all necessary, the most important of it all is to have your laptop or mobile phone coupled with your skills of technical and fundamental analysis.

Well I just magnified or zoom at least to have a wider screen. So that I can also double check everything specially when you're trying to push the sell button.

I am more of Technical analysis trader thus I use laptop for my trading because I will be able to zoom in and out all the Japanese candlesticks, its apparently very easy for me to analyse the candlestick patterns for trade reversal or continuation due to a larger screen size of the laptop which is rarely possible with a phone due to its small screen size.

That's the benefits of using larger views, as you can trace the patterned to analyze market behaviors, most of the traders who wanted to make
a clear views and cope up with how things will possibly moves used laptops instead of  mobile devices, a lots of times it's really have a much
higher success when you have a clear pictures of entry and exit point that you are planning to do.

I think it is much more easier than using a cell phone,
It has a wider screen and much more faster ,
You could analyze the chart much more easier so it is much more accurate .
I would only use my cell phone for trading if I don't have my laptop and I really need to do a quick trade.

I do have a lap at home. When i trade being in house, i use the lap machine, but when i am out, i do use mobile device to trade. I have Dell, VPN installed using personal hotspot connected to mobile network. Have Anti-Virus installed. Think of installing an updated version of OS. Try to have a big screen to have a good visual of graphs screened on exchanges you trade in.

Whether Its a laptop, a desktop or a phone it's almost the same thing.
What differentiates them is the ease of operation, for example it's very difficult zooming in and out continuously on a phone, it can be tiring and stressful.
If you're less mobile then a desktop is perfect and will serve you quite well
If you are mobile and always on the go, then a laptop is your best bet and will suit you based on your regular movements

Because my laptop is not portable and its too heavy, i also used my cellphone for my trading because it is more convenient. Though using cellphone is quiet limited but I still used it because its portable and easy to bring anywhere. Laptop is good for reading the chart, and I will go for dell.

I have been using Desktop computer for trading for more than a years and i have never used laptop for trading. If you want to have a laptop that's good, but it is not required. You can do trading with your personal computer.

I think you should buy a laptop and use it for trading because you can't sit at home at all times, you have life, you have your jobs and friends and you need to go out to enjoy this world, staying at home with a computer is a very boring thing. You need a laptop to make your life more convenient and comfortable, you can go to any location, play and use it to make money, as long as you don't lose it, you won't be afraid of money loss and security issues, almost all traders are doing that, they often go to a cafe with their laptop and work for trading

I don't think there is any need to make use of any VPN to make trade unless you have something to hide, I just login with my PC to a trusted exchange and begin to make my trade though I made sure I have a very good antivirus installed in my PC so that I won't be hacked and my coin stolen, I think you have to do same when you finally get your system.

You should also make sure that you activate 2FA in the platform you are making use of in trading this is very important than even trading itself.

if you talk about resilience then actually laptops are more than enough to trade, even some people use their smartphones to trade, with sufficient specifications you can trade on any device that you own on condition that there is an internet connection.

2FA is sorta stupid if you get the code from the same smart phone device as you are logging into an exchange to trade with. That is more vulnerable to attackes comparing to using a smartphone for 2FA plus a laptop for the exchange.

right because using a laptop is very easy to trade because the screen is big so it's easy to access anything instead of using a mobile phone if in my opinion

Well I intend to use and prefer desktop mate, though I don't see any bad things using laptop. But it still more convenient for me
to use it honestly speaking. Anyway, it doesn't matter because as long as we can trade whether, desktop, laptop or cellphone the important
still was we can able to make some trade.
